We have blinds but I think we will get some black out curtains soon since DH works a lot of overnight shifts!

We only have blinds right now. We're moving in a few days and plan on getting black out curtains for our room once we settle in.

We have both. Here in England, the sun comes up at like 4am and sets between 10-11pm in the summer. We need the curtains too or none of us would sleep.

Our home came decked out with roller shades in all of the bedrooms - even though I initially wanted to take them all out, I LOVE them now. They give us the freedom to buy decorative curtains without worrying about blackout curtains or anything really heavy-duty (ahem, so ridiculously expensive), but they also roll out of site and let in maximum light on nice days.
They're not pretty or fancy--they're actually boring--but now we can't imagine sleeping in bedrooms with blinds!

Our bedrooms had blinds when we moved in. I replaced the ones in our bedroom with black out roller shades & curtains. The shade is kind of ugly, but it's hidden behind the top of the curtain when it's up. I don't care enough to replace the plastic blinds in the spare bedroom/office aka future nursery yet.

We have paper blackout shades on the recommendations of someone here
They have been revolutionary for us.

We have curtains. They were in our room when we moved in. We actually don't have a window in our bedroom, but sliding glass doors that lead outside instead.

Our apartment came with blinds. We are fine with them.

We have both. The last owners left dark pull down blinds and I added blackout curtains on top of it. It's a cave in there.

Our place came with white blinds, and we just put up room darkening (not blackout) taffeta curtains over them. They're lovely!

We have sheers with drapery panels over them that we close at night. They still let some light in but not a lot. I think it's a good amount.

Blinds. I think curtains are way prettier, but dh doesn't like them. We only have curtains in lo's room because I wasn't backing down there.

We have blinds and sheer curtains. I don't love having blinds though because we are lazy and just leave then closed all the time so the room is always dark.

We have both. Wooden blinds with curtains. The wooden blinds do enough to block the light that we don't use the curtains at all. For LO's room though we did get light block curtains to go with the wooden blinds. Can't be too careful there! haha!

We have roman shades lined with blackout fabric on all of our windows, no curtains!

We have both in our bedroom, I think we will do the same in baby's room.

Both. Our new place already has blinds, but I hate to see an undressed window. When we move, I'll probably be sewing new curtains for all the rooms in the house!

We have both too. We originally installed blinds and just recently installed curtains in all the rooms. I love our new curtains. TOTALLY makes a big difference! I also like having the blinds so that I can control the amount of light that comes in.

We have solid wood blinds throughout our house. They do a really good job of keeping the light out!
