We have a big wood armoire that holds the tv, DVD, board games, and a drawer full of tools, batteries etc. We call it the "man-cab" as in cabinet that holds the man's stuff. We may sell it so I am getting all sentimental. Especially since we named it and all.

Not furniture but we have a name for our car. His name is blueberry bog, b-bog for short. Not looking forward to the day we have to part with him. I actually get teary eye thinking about.

Hahahaha no but I should! I have a vintage record player that DH always thinks is a dresser so it would prob be smart to rename it lol.

We do name some of our furniture. Usually our names aren't that exciting... "Stickley" for our Stickley rocking chair, "Blackie" for our black side table.

We call our bed "Beddy." But we loooove that bed, our lives seriously changed when we bought our new mattress and now we are sad whenever we have to sleep somewhere else.

Hee hee, like on Young House Love where their furniture's IKEA names stick with them? We don't have any furniture named, but the iPad is Paddy, the netbook is Sammie (it's a Samsung), and my iPhone is Touchie II (named after my iPod touch).

The only thing I've named is our robot vacuum... which I think I've mentioned more than once on Hello Bee! That's how much I love it
His name is Dobby after Harry Potter.

@Grace: we call our Samsung laptop Sammie too! After naming it though, DH saw in some techy forums that it's a common nickname for the same computer... haha. There went us thinking we're original!

We haven't named our furniture, but we don't have any... haha
We do name our cars though. Growing up my parents had an old Land Rover named Nigel and a BMW station wagon named Gretchen.
My DH's car used to be mine and I had named it Madeline, but he wants to rename it. We are still trying to name our mini-van, which we're currently just calling by its model - Sienna.

We don't have Ikea here so I'll have to check out what kind of names you are talking about! Anyone care to share an example? Like is it 'toadie' or Willow or Zsa Zsa or John or Clementine... so curious but too lazy to google.@Arden: You have some classy car names. So funny about your van's name-- I just told DH yesterday, I really love the name Sienna. He said yah, but too bad there's a car with the same name.
