We don't, but I want a puppy. we're in an apartment though so it would be pretty impossible. I had a dream lady night that DH let me get TWO puppies and I named them Huckleberry and Finn hahaha

We had a dog in several apartments, and it worked out ok, but was a pain to go up and down stairs for sure.

We have a dog in our apartment-- this is the 3rd apt I've had him in, but the first two it was against the lease and I never got caught It can be a big pain to find an apartment that allows them, especially if you get a bigger dog. Mine is only 26 pounds and that has helped us find places that will allow him.
Other than that, it's not really different than having him in a house, though when I lived on the 5th floor of a walk up the stairs got old.

We have two big mutts right now, but Santa might bring the kids an aquarium for Christmas. It's something we are researching right now.

NO PETS!
We (G & I) had a dog but I just couldn't keep up with her, working full time, school, and G all by myself... I figured my crazy toddler boy was enough animal for me.
DH does want a dog but it'll be a long time before I'm okay with one.

@Foodnerd81: @aprk: our apartment allows cats and dogs but with a one year and being on the second floor it'd be impossible to potty train. And even then, going up and downstairs multiple times a day esp in the winter would be such a pain! And we don't have room for a dog to run around and play so it's better to wait until we're in a house.

@Mrs. Pen: would you consider adopting a dog. You can usually find awesome shelter dogs that don't need housebreaking.
We live on the third floor of an apartment building and with our three year old pup and newborn it hasn't been that bad. In fact she's been a good inspiration to get me out of the house and moving every day.

We have 2 cats and to fish tanks. We are contemplating getting a third tank for our room. We also want a dog but we haven't asked our landlords yet. I'm worried they would say no because we have hardwood floors and they are really protective of them.

We have a dog who lives in Georgia with my family and a dog that lives here with us. I'm determined to have chickens when DH gets out of the Army and we don't have to worry about moving so much.

We have two pups (both of which we adopted as puppies in our apartment so it is VERY doable) and two turtles. We also had hedgehogs until recently when our oldest passed. Sad day... and we are looking to re-home the turtles. I wish I had pictures of my pups on this computer!

We have one bossy cat. I would love to have a dog someday since I always had dogs growing up, but with the hours we both work/are gone everyday, it wouldnt be fair to a dog. So, no pups for a while for us.

One adorable but mischievous pomeranian. We also have two large saltwater fish tanks & one fresh tank.

Two kitties!
DH would love a dog but we don't have a fence and the timing is awful with a new baby. He knows I'm open to it once the kids are older and we have a good backyard for a dog

Nope, no pets. We had a Great Dane a few years ago; we adopted him (5 years) from a rescue...long story short, it didn't end well and after a pretty scary aggression issue, he ended up going back to the rescue. We haven't gotten another one since (basically just due to our work schedules).

@mrs. wagon: awww, I love that picture! They are so cute!
We have two dogs, a chihuahua and a maltipoo. They have both been apartment dogs their whole lives, and it can be a pain, but i couldnt imagine not having dogs, so its a non-issue really. Luckily they're both small and it doesn't snow here!
