We have a dog. I would like a cat but my husband is allergic. I don't know what we will get once our dog passes, I really don't want another dog tying us down when we want to go away.

We have an english bulldog who we love to pieces. He is such a big part of our day and lives. I can't even think of what we will do when he's not with us anymore!

No pets and we don't plan on getting any pets.
It's sad because my dd loooooves dogs, but animals are so high maintenance.

Nope and not really! Eventually I want to get a dog but right now the thought of being responsible for keeping another creature alive is too overwhelming.
Actually... We have 2 chickens. I don't really count them as pets though? They're very low maintenance.

We have two cats that we treat like our babies. My husband really wants a dog but they're so much more work than cats; also, we live in an apartment and I'd never consider getting a dog until we're able to live in a house with a yard.

We have three cats, and it's one (or two) too many. DH is a huge cat person. I don't mind them, and would be perfectly content with just one. I wouldn't mind getting a dog someday.

@Running Elley: chickens?! that's cool! do they live in a coop on your property or something?
We have two dogs. One is sleepy and almost 7 and only 4 pounds and is very easy! The other is 5 months old, already 50 pounds!!! They are cute but the puppy is a lot of work. I'm not used to being out and thinking about having to come back to deal with him. Our little dog is fine at home for a long time with some food out. Hopefully the puppy will be easier to leave as he gets older/stops eating everything he sees

We have none and I want to keep it that way. DH wants a dog but not happening as long as he is traveling.

Our complex only allows cats, and DH is horrifically allergic.
We hope to get a dog once we have a larger living space, and a small yard. Our dream is to rescue two great danes.
