I left my card at Chipotle today and the manager wouldn't give it back to me until I told him the last 4 digits of my card. I didn't know it but I found a recent cc receipt in my wallet.

I don't have any of my credit card number memorized; even the last 4 digits. Everything is saved online for bill pay, so sort of like stored phone numbers, my brain has made room for other info
That's so weird he asked you that - - honestly, I would have been pissed if he wouldn't give me back my credit card after showing him a photo ID with my name on it that matched the name on the card.

Yes, I have my main card memorized, but none of the secondary cards. I've had it for years and typed it in enough times!

I only use my debit card. Have the number, exp date and security code memorized!

@Marfi: @yoursilverlining: I had to go back to my car for my wallet and ID!

I have my debit and credit card numbers memorized. Library card number too, actually.

Yes! I didn't have it memorized until recently...maternity leave = lots of online shopping!

Not yet, but if I use it enough online I probably will. That would be so dangerous though! No need to think about my purchase as I rummage through my purse to get the card out.

Only one of them, but that's enough. It's so useful, though dangerous, to be able to order online without even looking for my purse!

I only use one and I have it memorized. Online shopping!

DH and I both have debit cards for the same account, and I know his number, but not mine!

I used to until they gave me a new card. I liked being able to online shop without getting up to get my wallet. Because, yes, I am that lazy.

Yes, i have everything memorized for my main one. Lots of online shopping will do that to you.
That is a little weird - i've usually been asked for photo ID, not the last 4 digits!

I don't even have my DH's cell number memorized...a CC number would be asking far too much
wonderful pear / 26210 posts
Yup, which is why advice like hiding credit cards doesn't help my shopping habits!

WTH...I get he was being extra safe, but I think photo ID should have sufficed.
I don't know the card numbers, but I have them written down.

I did with my last cc, but we switched to a new one last spring and I don't know it yet

Wow Chipotle, that's crazy. I have most of it memorized...all but hte last 4 I think! haha

I have my debit card memorized (probably a bad sign of my online shopping habits), but none of my other cards. Had it been any card except my debt, I would not have been able to answer the question. I think it's a little extreme! A license should definitely be enough!

I recently got a new debit card, so no. But I did have the old one memorized!

@autumnlove: some of them I do know the last four. but not all of them, I'm surprised he didnt just ask for ID and the full name on the card

No. I have a horrible memory so I try to save it for more important things I have to remember.

I know my main card by heart but none of the others. I think I do a little too much online shopping . . .

@Mrsbells: I think he liked being a hardass...Ha!
