I am packing up our house and found three. I really want to chuck them! Is that wrong? I dunno if I will ever want to look at them....they are filled with obnoxious and embarrassing messages and are pretty cringe-worthy! Lots of references to old crushes and boyfriends. I enjoyed HS but I don't keep up with more than a handful of HS friends and I have a lot of other things to remember them by. They are huge and heavy and annoying! All in all we just have too many keepsakes between my husband, myself, and LO.

Yup, just found ours when cleaning out the nursery a few months ago. I definitely agree with you on the cringe-worthy notes..... I hid ours. Chloe cannot read these things!!!!

Yes, and same as you - I kind of just want to get rid of them. BUT, I looooved looking through my parents' yearbooks. So, I will keep them to entertain my children, so they can laugh at my awesome style

I have all of mine, I am considering chucking all but my senior year (which has no writing in it) for LO to look through. The rest have ridiculous notes in them that are so inappropriate I would hate for my kids to read them! haha

I have all of my yearbooks from middle school on! I don't have that many keepsakes, so I plan on keeping them while I still have room for them!

I have them too but feel the same way! I cringe at the mere thought of anyone seeing all the ridiculous messages and pictures. The early 2000's were not cute! BUT I will keep them!

I would never get rid of mine! I used to work in a school office where we had all the old yearbooks and lots of people would call trying to get ahold of one. I think later in life your feelings might change!
PS also when you hear about someone in your class or school who passed away or changed sex or was arrested for being a serial killer, you will want to look him or her up
in the last case you might even be able to sell it to inside edition -
I have mine and I feel the same as you about the messages! I'm a middle school teacher and really considered telling my students to have their friends sign something else and keep their yearbooks blank because 75% of the messages are insincere/silly and not what you want your future children to read
That said, I too love looking at my mom's yearbooks ... maybe I'll just use some pretty duct tape on the cover pages ...

I only have one from senior year of HS, and will definitely keep it! Even though I don't keep in touch with any HS friends (except we're FB friends, but don't really interact), it is full of great goodbye messages.

I have my senior year yearbook only because I was editor-in-chief that year and did all the main design elements!

I decided to keep my junior year and chuck the others. I think my parents have my senior year so maybe I will keep that one of I ever find it. They all have so many lewd messages I can't imagine letting LO see them until he's in college lol!

@Mrs. Sketchbook: there are lewd messages in my dads high school year book. I remember reading it and thinking "OMG. My dad was FUN?! Is this the same person?!?"

I have all of my yearbooks stored in my dad's garage. I believe I have 1st-11th grade. I know that I'll like looking back at them someday.

Apparently all the boys loved her and all the girls hated her!Mine is more like stupid rhymes and limericks that class clowns I weren't even close with put in my yearbook, and everyone else's.
I did one time have to do the sorority squat in a pic (no offense to Greek bees, but that's what everyone here calls it) and you could see down my shirt and one of my friends called me out on that! Awkward.

DH and I both have ours. I haven't looked at mine in years but I'm never going to get rid of them.

They are all at my parents house waiting for me to have room. I will absolutely keep them! I have them from kindergarten on. Everyone I know has all 4 years of HS yearbooks. Is it not a thing to get one every year elsewhere?

I have mine, but only freshman and senior year, the rest I didn't buy. They're just on our regular book shelf. Our yearbooks often didn't come out until mid-July so they gave us inserts to get people to sign, so my actual books don't have anything written in them. I could always hide or toss the inserts.
