I've been putting presents under the tree as I buy them. There are 7 under there now, and I have a couple more to add. Amazingly, Charlie and Olive have not really touched the Christmas tree, and Charlie could care less about gifts so he leaves them alone!

Yup, ours are under the tree. Our presents were always under the tree growing up, just makes things look more festive!

We've always gone somewhere for Christmas so we never put anything under the tree. However, I'm not sure what we'll do in the future since my parents did it on Christmas Eve and his put the presents under there as they bought them.

Our presents are under the tree too. My son was upset that he couldn't open them the first day, but now he doesn't even ask anymore. He knows they're for Christmas though.

Our presents are wrapped and stacked up on the coffee table. I grew up with presents under the tree before Christmas. We'll do the same once DS is a little older and understands that he can't unwrap them until Christmas.

Yes, ours go under the tree. DD has never seemed interested to get at them either. I guess they are still too young.

Presents for other people and from other people go under the tree early, but presents for people from people that are part of the household go under on Christmas Eve.

We have been puting presents under the tree as they arrive but only because LO is too young to know anything about Christmas. Starting next year, we'll be hiding all the gifts from everyone so that Santa can bring them for Christmas morning. I used to love having the Christmas tree all by itself, and then having all the presents magically appear Christmas morning when I was little and I hope LO likes the magic of Christmas too!

They are but as she gets older, I'll keep certain ones in hiding so she gets a surprise when she sees the presents under the tree when she wakes up in the morning!!

Right now we do, but when LO is here we will start putting them out after she goes to bed Christmas Eve. I like the look of some presents under the tree so we'll probably still put out the presents we're giving to family and friends.

If I didn't have a cat, they would be under the tree now! Instead they are in the spare room and I will put them out after the cat is put away on Xmas eve lol

@Bookworm: Yep, ditto! My silly cat likes to eat ribbons and tear up paper so that doesn't get to happen for us unfortunately!
I wish he'd stop because it makes me sad. lol

Presents go under the tree at our house! DH thinks it's weird because his family always put them out on Christmas eve, even when they were grown ups. I put them out practically the day I buy them!

When I was little all presents went under on Christmas Eve but as I got older they went under as they were bought. DH isn't letting anything be wrapped until Christmas Eve so currently no presents under the tree. The gifts from our babysitter are in my car trunk because DD really wants to open them.

right now its just me and the hubs, so the presents are going under the tree as they're wrapped (and the ones that have to go with us when we visit other people are packed in bags) - but when we were kids, my parents would put all of them out christmas eve when we were sleeping, so it was the big surprise in the morning when we came out

This year I have all the presents under the tree. When DS is older I'll wait until Christmas Eve to put his presents from Santa under the tree, but we'll put gifts from us to our SIL and nieces and things like that under early.
