At my dentist's office, they have tvs that hang over the chair so you can watch while you get your work done. I love it because it distracts me! So I said, open.

We have TVs above our chair but the light is so bright it hurts my eyes! I usually close them and try to get some zzz's lol

@chopsuey: my dentist gives us sunglasses/goggles to wear.

Both...closed if it's painful/irritating but open otherwise

When I was little I had a crush on my dentist...he had the prettiest blue eyes

Open! I wear sunglasses and usually watch day time tv on the ceiling.

I close mine! The last dentist I went to let me bring my iPod while he did the fillings, so I zoned out and tried to go to a happy place

I close them so the hygenist doesn't talk to me.

@sandy: I had a crush on my RE (saw him in 2012). He's gorgeous. He was tall, had sandy colored blonde/brown hair, gorgeous blue eyes, and his voice was so soothing! I really thought he would be my OB too to deliver my baby but he had to graduate me to a regular OB. I cried and cried! I was so silly!!! LOL

I stare at the TV. It's always on Rachel Ray. Lol
