I assumed voter turn out would be very high this election, but reading some FB comments makes me think some people won't.
Do you know anyone who says they won't vote but legally can vote?

My in-laws. They never vote (although they're registered!) because they think elections are rigged. They'd vote for Trump if they voted at all.

I'm currently in camp not voting. I really do not like either candidate and can't get behind either of them. I'd love to find myself aligned with one of them but I just can't get there. My DH asks me pretty much weekly if I've come to supporting someone yet. I keep saying, no. I'm not proud of my position (as I share it with the world) but I wouldn't feel better casting a vote for someone that I can't place any confidence in leading our country either.

Yes I have a few family members who are Republicans who would never ever vote democrat, but know Trump is insane, so they just aren't voting. I'm certainly not a Hillary fan but I see not voting as a vote for Trump so I can't let myself do that.
@bluestriped bee: I actually expect voter turn out will be lower than average because so many people dislike both candidates.

My husband isn't voting this election. He's stated that a number of times. We differ on politics, so I'm fine with it. My inlaws are voting for the Libertarian candidate, so there's that.

My MIL never votes. My father is either not voting or voting for Trump (he hates either candidate but really hates Hillary) and refuses to vote third party because he feels that that is giving votes to Hillary.

Every republican I know thinks Trump is a lunatic/moron, but none of them will show up at the polls to vote for Hillary, probably because none live in swing states. A few think Johnson is a faux libertarian and won't vote for him, either.

@Truth Bombs: That is just frightening to me. Maybe it's my circle of democratic friends but my friends are thinking this is one the important ones.

@Truth Bombs: What about voters that will choose a third party candidate? I feel like a lot of people will go that route this year.

I'm voting, but abstaining from the presidential race. I don't know if that counts!

DH never votes...I think he was finally in a place where he wanted to vote this year - and I was thrilled as I think he has finally seen the light...then we got dealt these two candidates and he is back to not voting...

DH may sit out this year. He's definitely not voting for Trump and the third party candidates are not really thrilling him either.

My mom is not planning to vote. She's republican and really dislikes Hillary but can't vote for trump. DH was saying he wouldn't vote or would vote third party, but now I think he may vote democratic. But these are both blue states that never go republican so they feel like it matters less than if they were in a swing state.

My husband is not planning to vote, but I'm thinking he'll change his mind. We live in NY so he's always said it doesn't really make a difference who we vote for anyway. If we want a democrat, we already know the democrat will win in NY without our vote and if we want a republican, there's no chance of them winning NY so no point in voting for them, which I kind of understand, but I still prefer to vote.

I don't think any of my ILs vote. I avoid all political conversations as we have very different views and visiting them is already stressful!

My BIL does not plan on voting because he doesn't support either candidate. He thinks this election is a joke.

My mom normally votes Republican but she hates Trump so much I think she might just sit it out since her commute makes it hard to get to the polls and normally she has to rush and take an earlier bus home even to make it and I think she thinks its not worth the hassle this year to bother.
