I really only run into one parent during drop off and pickup time and that's the father of a girl who is a year older than M. I don't ever see any of the other parents.
Do you know any of the parents at your lo's daycare?

Not at all. But, we've only been going for 3 weeks, so maybe we'll meet someday.

yes pretty much all of them. it's a small daycare though! last year's class was very tight because all the kids were close in age and we would meet for playdates and birthday parties outside of daycare. this year there is a much more mixed group, but we still run into most of the parents daily.

Since we've been at the same daycare/preschool center for 4 yrs now, we know many of the parents. Infant room parents seem to be more reserved and we only see at pick up and drop off. But once birthday parties start, we see the same faces, and sometimes we set up play dates as well. It's nice to have a community through childcare!

Yes, I LOVE the other parents at daycare. Some are particularly friendly or outgoing, some seem to have the same schedule as us, and some I know because there's a large grassy area out front where sometimes we let our kids play after we pick them up on nice days, and the parents will chat while the kids run around.
We have way more interaction now with parents than we did when LO was an infant. Now LO cares about teh other kids and has friends and gets excited about them. We're just starting to do playdates and birthday parties and the like, which is really fun.
