@daniellemybelle: HAHA I guess in my day it was "wanna go to blockbuster and get a movie"

In our house, it means watch Netflix and try not to fall asleep before the show/movie is over. I DO understand the phrase though ... It's more of a joke over here.

Totally did not know what that meant. Do you think JCP does? This just showed up on my IG feed:

Well, I guess I'm old. Or a prude. Or both.
ETA: I asked my husband and he said "sitting on my fat a** watching Netflix. So I guess I'm not alone under this rock.

Wow I feel old Sex didn't even occur to me. But when I texted my hubby asking him what it meant to him his response was:
"Watch a movie (if married) or have sex under the guise of watching a movie (if single).
sad.

I'm so old. I had no idea this is what it meant. I'm in the literal camp where Netflix and chill means just that. Lately, it's been Hulu because they have the Muppets and Moonbeam City.

I cant deal with this shit.... I'm so old and out of touch, my teens are are going to run rings around me. Why doesn't it just mean watching a film in your PJ's??? Gah!
bananas / 9229 posts
For real??
I guess I would've thought it was my teenage equivalent of watching a movie and hanging out. Not sex. Guess not.
ETA: I asked DH... "Watch Netflix on the couch. Not sure what you mean. Pretty obvious statement. Why, what am I missing?"
GOLD / wonderful pomegranate / 28905 posts
@josina: omg
I've never seen this before! Why would you post this as your status?!

@avivoca: LOL!
I'm only 25 and I feel so old. Oh well.
I mean I could have guessed that it'd lead to sex, you know like watching a movie, but I didn't know it was like a thing...

I was so sure it meant watching a movie in pjs while eating ice cream. I might have even commented about it without realizing?!
grapefruit / 4355 posts
Ha ha – I am dying reading these responses!
I'm glad I'm not the only one that's old. I definitely thought that it meant relaxing on the couch and watching a movie on Netflix.

@oliviaoblivia: lol!
I knew what it meant. But my personal Netflix and chill looks a lot like sleeping on the couch.

@Mamaof2: I must be officially old! I would have thought hanging out and watching Netflix lol!
pineapple / 12053 posts
@LuLu Mom: Ha! I would always say that watching a movie I've already seen before was the code for wanting to make out.
hostess / papaya / 10219 posts
