We were given a form at enrollment and we told them no pictures. Sometimes I regret it because it would be cute to see pictures of her with her daycare friends!

They don't post any faces on their FB page. They put a circle over the child's face to match the skin tone.

LO isn't in daycare, but I wouldn't. It is basically telling the world the exact location your child spends a good amount of time.

I opted out of it. I wouldn't feel comfortable with my LO's pic on their web page.

I gave them permission to, but they haven't yet. I'm not overly concerned about it - anyone that can recognize my baby well enough from a random daycare picture probably knows him well enough to know where he goes to daycare anyway! It's not like they put his name on the picture!

Are they putting daily photos up? If so, I think that's weird. I would understand it if it was a secure site they sent to parents but not their Facebook page. If I was asked if they could use her face on their website, I'd be okay with it, but not daily FB photos.

It doesn't bother me. I like getting to see pics of LO while I'm at work.

I don't, but she texts me pics of DS a few times a day so I still get my fix

I am still undecided but LO won't be in daycare until next year so I have some time to think it over. My BFF has 3 kids (ages 3-10years old) who are magazine/ online models and they have been on the Neiman Marcus, JC Penny's, and Sam's clubs catalogues and websites. It's pretty cool! It makes me so happy when I see one of their faces in an ad.

@mediagirl: nope they might do one album a season. But their page is public so anyone can see it.

my daycare doesn't have a FB page but I do allow photos to be taken and posted on their website.

@mediagirl: I agree that everyday would be bizarre. Ours takes pictures for certain events, like they had Pirate Week and took pictures when all the kids dressed up as pirates and the different pirate activities they did.

@locavore_mama: yeah, not a fan of that. A website is one thing but Facebook is...I'm uncomfortable with Facebook.

They don't have a Facebook page. They do take pictures for the monthly newsletter sent to parents, so maybe that's what they were referring to for pictures.

A friends mom runs a home day care. She puts up almost daily albums and tags all the parents. There might be kids that aren't in the photos because they have requested that, but it looks like a whole whack of kids! She put up an apple picking album the other day with over 100 pics.

They don't have a Facebook page, but I would not allow photos if they did.

They have a private Facebook group that's just for parents who have opted in.

I would opt out, personally. I would even be put off if the daycare had an FB and others could access/view the pics. I am super weird about my kids being on social media, so obviously my views are not everyone's, but I really would not like that.
