I love being pale, but I tan so easily! I used to be pale up through college, and I didn't realize how much I loved it until I got so tan. I can never go back to being that pale again even if I want to!
Do you like being pale or tan?

Tan! I used to go to a tanning bed (i know bad) but switched to spray tans when I realized I didn't want early wrinkles. I have given it up since being pregnant, to save money and in case it comes out the fumes aren't safe. I can't wait to go back to a nice tan after the baby comes!

My natural skin color could never be called pale. I think I am naturally dark enough so I don't try to tan more.

I look sick when I'm pale so I prefer to be tan... trouble is, I burn so easily that it's hard for me to tan.

I think I look better and "healthier" tan, but I know it's really bad for me, so I try to avoid it. But even with sunscreen, I always get a little tanner in the summer and I do like it.

I don't like being really tan, but I think I look better with just a little bit of color.

i feel more "myself" with a tan - i'm naturally olive-y, so i tan really easily and maintain a "healthy glow" (if you can call it that) pretty much year round, even with daily sunscreen

I am fair and it suits me (and I keep it that way with spf 30--at least--every day!). But I also love to have a light golden tan . . . I just don't like how hard I have to work for it (and how damaging it is!). I also really really love having a great spray tan, but it is too high maintenance for long-term/daily use.

I've had to learn to love being pale, because I do not tan. Ever. I get the slightest hint of color if I pile on sunscreen and sit out all day, and you can only tell if I compare the exposed parts to non-exposed parts. Otherwise, even if I burn, it never tans.
On a side note, I strangely had a dream last night where I went to a spray-on tan place and they did an awful job and only did half my body then disappeared and I was freaking out. Weird...

I'm naturally on the tan side (I was super dark as a child). Now I try to stay out of the sun.

@LadyFingers: that totally reminds me of the Friends episode where Ross kept getting sprayed only on one side of his body!

TAN TAN TAN!!!!!
I have pretty olive skin naturally so I get REALLY dark when I go outside. I have never had a sunburn!
I love summer and getting dark as possible!

I am naturally tan so I have never seen myself actually pale, I only get darker since I tan easily and never burn.

I am naturally tan and I don't like the sun!

Tan! But the sun is SO HOT in FL that I haven't laid out in a while...I think tan fat looks way better than pale fat, at least on me, so I need to just brave the heat and walk the 10 feet out to the pool for a few hours this weekend! I am amazed at how Preg = LAZY.

@MsLipGloss: ah! that episode was on last night, it was amazing!! lol
I prefer to have a healthy glow, but I rarely lay out, I don't use tanning beds, and have occasionally gotten a spray tan for special occasions.

I'm working on loving the pale because sun is so bad, but it's definitely going to take some time to fully embrace it. I'm PALE when I'm pale.

I love being tanned, but don't do anything about it because I know it's so bad.

I love being tanned. I look better, my face clears up and I get little freckles over my nose. I don't do anything to get it though. Going for walks and working in the garden gives me enough of a tan. Always with sunscreen though, or else I get a wicked burn.

I love being tanned. I feel like I look so much healthier! I am a total beach bum and love to just sit on the beach and tan.

Love being tan! But I'm pretty good about wearig sunscreen these days.

I'm naturally tan, and it seems like people who are naturally tan want to be pale, and people who are naturally pale want to be tan! LOL
I'm cool with being tan, although it's frowned upon in asian culture.

I like tan. I haven't been in the sun for prolonged periods in ages, though. This summer I have my first tan in like 15 years.

I like a bit of a (NATURAL) tan. It's a sign that I've been outside, enjoying myself and being healthy. I tend to look tired and sickly otherwise. I'm not one of those white people who can rock the porcelain skin!

I prefer to be tan, but am pale naturally. I don't tan easily, but don't get burnt either. I work all the time so I don't get the opportunity to go outside and get some Vitamin D. I've never gone tanning in a tanning bed before, but would consider spray tans!
