Every once in a while I crave a milk tea with boba.
I can only eat about 10 pieces of boba before I start shooting them at cars and people though.
Mmm.. I'm craving some now.

I absolutely love boba!! I worked at a boba shop my last semester of college and I always say it's STILL the best job I've ever had. I loved making the drinks and, most of all, I loved drinking all the different kinds of boba drinks all day long!!!!! AHHH I want some right now!!!!

In Canada (or, at least, in Toronto), we just call it "bubble" - as in "Bubble tea". "Hey, do you guy want to grab bubble tea?"..."Can I have a large mango green tea with bubble?"

@chopsuey119: love the lychee slush drinks too!!! I also love the pudding milk tea... mmmm!! These days when I can get to the boba place I have such a hard time choosing what to get. I usually choose between: milk tea with boba, taro with boba, milk tea with chocolate pudding, strawberry slush with lychee jelly, strawberry yogurt snow with boba, and watermelon juice with boba.
@cupcakemama: the most popular form of boba is milk tea with boba, which is an iced, milky sweet black tea with large, black tapioca "pearls" in it. You drink it through a big, thick straw and you drink up the tapioca with the tea. The tea itself is delicious but the boba is soft and chewy. It's not like tapioca you find in pudding-- the pearls are about 1/2 inch diameter, slightly sweet, and chewy. I didn't like it the first 2 times I tried it, but with the 3rd time I was HOOKED and still am, 10 years later!!

I love boba! But the boba has to be perfectly squishy though. I hate boba that's too hard in the center or too mushy. Perfectly chewy boba is a must!

@NYCaliMama: Oh, thanks! I heard of boba but really never knew what it was. I knew it's a drink and sounds similar to bubble tea.
I love jackfruit bubble tea. I just got one last night. Yum!
