I used to enjoy camping until I watched too many scary movies involving camping and the scary outdoors.

I do but my allergies can get bad and I get bitten up like crazy from the mosquitos. I'm not a fan of coming home smelling like smoke.
Overall, I love it. My sister has a camper and we usually have family reunions there. I love making smores and sitting around the campfire. It's by the beach, too, so I love going to the beach.

I like camping when a cabin is involved. I don't like sleeping in tents, I get afraid of the lions, and tigers, and bears....

I'm not a wilderness type of person, so "roughin it" in tents doesn't sound fun ha. I'd love to go camping in a camper though.

Noooooo! I try to keep nature at arm's length. I don't mind going to a cabin once in a while, but even that is a stretch. You couldn't pay my husband or me enough to go tent/real camping! I require a hot shower everyday lol ;p

i used to love it when i was younger. but now that i'm older, i'm very particular about where i sleep and my night time routine. i really think i'd hate it now.

I camped all the time when I was younger and loved it. I love waking up outdoors and enjoying time at the beach, lake, hiking, and we'd always go to the drive-in and play lots of cards, have campfires, etc. There is nothing worse than camping in the rain though! Now that I'm older, I have no interest in camping and I'm a bit sad about that. If I could rent a really nice camper, then I'd probably go for it. I'm past using the buggy bathrooms/showers and sleeping in a tent. As a kid though, it was awesome.

My family and I went camping a lot. My husband's family always went camping at the beach. So we both love camping. We have lots of gear.

My kind of camping involves woods, a house, running water, and electricity.

I've yet to go camping camping.
Would love to when LO is a little older! As long as there's a communal shower/toilet somewhere!! Hehe

I LOVE camping!! We tend to camp in state parks that have bathrooms & hot showers though
my family has a cabin on a pond that's fun to go to & I've heard some people call that 'camping', but I disagree. A cabin just isn't camping to me! We bought a new family sized tent this year, can't wait to make us LOs to take camping with us!!

My grandparents owned a camp ground when I was younger so I grew up in a camping. But not the tent in the wilderness kinda of camping, one in an RV!

Love it. My family has an annual camping trip that we've done every year since I was born. We try to sneak a few extra camping trips in there every year too.
Dh proposed to me camping so now it's extra special

Sort of. I like the idea of camping more than camping itself. I hate bugs but like sleeping in tents. I hate being cold and damp but love the smell of a campground in the morning. All that being said, our lo will be a camper.

Im not a big camper at all, but hubby is. We've only been once. We are thinking about going to NM or CO this summer to escape the Texas heat for a few days. I dont really enjoy not having a flushing toilet or showers for a few days. And i get cranky if im too hot, too tired, or too hungry, so camping is pretty dangerous for hubby, lol.
Btw, anyone have any recs for camping in NM or southern CO?

DH doesn't like camping - he did most of his camping in the Army. I did enough beforehand that the Army couldn't spoil it for me. I love it.

It depends on what I'm sleeping on! On a lumpy ground, in a tent, not so much. On a cushy air mattress or something I don't feel lumps, then I'm good to go! I need a real bathroom and a shower though. I'm not hardcore like my husband - he can flight out in the middle of nowhere and not see anyone else for days ... use moss as a loofah ... that kind of camping is just too much for me.

Not particularly . . . But! . . . hand me a s'more and a glass of wine, and I'll be happy anywhere.

I LOVE camping. DH and I met on a camping trip.
When I was little, we did a lot of tent camping because we were too poor to take big family vacations. We would take the tents and go to a state park, float on the river, fish and make s'mores and have a blast. I was also a Girl Scout for a lot of years and we were one of those hardcore troops that tent camped and did orienteering and wilderness survival and stuff.

I like camping ONLY when there's a real bathroom nearby. I need running water and a toilet - although even a porter-potty would do, though those are gross. I refuse to go if there's no restroom!
BUT when we do go (and there's a bathroom), I LOVE it! Camping is so much fun and it's the only time I get s'mores. Although I totally am not a "real" camper. We bring an air mattress, pillows, blankets, etc so I'm almost as comfortable camping as I am at home, haha.

I enjoy it as long as there is a cabin/camper...I do not do tents well! haha I like my indoor plumbing. And I also need a body of water near so I can enjoy that during they day (boating, jet skiing, laying out, ect.)

NO! One of my favourite sayings is, "I love not camping."
DH is going on a camping trip in July. I'm going to NYC instead.
ETA: I do like cottaging though. So long as there's indoor plumbing and hot water.

I love state park camping. It's super cheap, really fun and there are bathrooms. I'm not opposed to middle of the woods camping every once and a while, though. We have friends with a piece of river property thats only accesible by boat that we camp at because theres great fishing, so its worth the couple of nights going to the bahroom in the woods ans showering with a gallon jug. It's really common around here to do canoe/camping trips, too.
I do not consider an RV or a cabin camping. My husband does, though because that is the kind of "camping" his family does.

I loooooooove camping. But we only go car camping, so it's not like, hardcore legit. We've gone with friends, with friends and our dog, and I plan on going with baby!

Yes! I love camping. It's a lot of work getting things ready and planning all the food/equipment but we've pretty well streamlined our process and can throw together a quick camping trip in just a couple hours. It's nice to get away from technology and worrying about how we look and just relax.
