For you or LO?
I've always thought they were cute but not all that functional. I've had a few and my arms always get cold! So I just prefer a real coat.
Because of that I can't imagine buying one for LO knowing he'd have cold arms!
What exactly, is the point? (Genuinely curious!)

I love them (for me) over a long sleeved tshirt for chilly fall days. They keep your core nice and warm, and I haven't ever felt like my arms are too cold. I think they are so cute on little kiddos too! But if your LO gets cold easily it's probably not a good option for them

Yes! I wear them & have some for LO - for me I like them when it's transitional weather. Like a light coat, but easier to put on. I think LO will like them because they'll be less restrictive than a coat.

@Pink Champagne: @scg00387: our transitional seasons here in MN are pretty short. We go from blazing hot summer, to maybe a month of fall and then it gets super cold until may. So maybe that's why!

I love them! I have three Northface "puffer vests" in different colors and levels of down filling. I wear them over a long sleeve shirt with a cute scarf, jeans, and boots.
I love them for LO too! Can't wait to buy her one (super cute polka dot one at Target right now for $15).

I never knew how to wear those. I always thought it was for functionality as opposed to style, but that's because I'm from Southern Cali and it's basically warm year round.
I'm thinking about buying some for DD - mainly for layering. So maybe under a raincoat for a wet and chilly autumn. Idk, does that even make sense? Hehe.

Haha, I dont know that they're super useful but C has a couple already! I just think they're too stinking cute.

I like vests. I don't like puffy anything - vests or jackets.

@Mrs. Pen: I think it's different for because we live in a place where the "Fall air" only lasts like 2 weeks! 
I can see using them in the Fall over a hooded sweatshirt. LO has a hand me down one but otherwise I don't think I would buy her one either. I'll rather put the money towards a good solid 3-1 winter coat. Which we both need to get one this year!

I love mine! It doesn't get super cold here. They are great for Saturday running errands. I was bummed last winter when they didn't fit with my belly. I saw a cute one at GAP, totally going to get R one.

I love them! I don't really like the feeling of things on my wrists, and vests keep me warm without overheating or being uncomfortable. It helps that I live in the SF bay area, where the weather is pretty temperate. Vests are my favorite for outdoor activities like hiking, where I'm generating body heat but can still get chilly. They're perfect for layering.

I really like them, for both me and LO! I think they're really great at keeping my core warm and I still have the use of my limbs. It's actually perfect for CA winters since it gets chilly, but not extremely cold.
