We have to take R to the doctor in the morning (bad diaper rash keeps coming and going). DH said that he will take the morning off to take her. I know that since he is actually in town, I should be glad about this. But I like to be the one to take her to the doctor. I don't know why. This will only be the 2nd time he takes her without me. I wouldn't miss a well visit.

I think my initial reaction would be the same as you! 
I haven't yet missed an appt, DH hasn't either aside form last week when I took DS in for a quick flu booster.
But then I'd realize it's fine and would be ok with DH taking him!

DH and I have both gone together for all our appointments so far, I doubt we can keep that up forever though!

Oddly enough I actually like for my husband to go. He always asks really good follow up questions.

yes, but I've always been the one to take him. DH has only gone for the first appointment because he works on the other side of town. He got moved to our side and hoping he can come to appointments now because he doesn't like missing them. I have to call him right when we leave and give him a rundown

I would probably react the same way at first since I always take him! DH has only been to 1 appointment. But he is fully capable and I would end up getting over it

DH doesn't ask a lot of questions so I would be apprehensive about letting him go by himself. But I'm sure I could coach him into asking the right ones.
Maybe a bit of a control freak too. . .

I think DH would do a fine job. I don't think he's done an appointment by himself yet but he did take LO to get her flu shot. He can take her to get shots anytime.

Definitely, but my LO is petrified of going to the doctors so I like to be there to comfort her.

I came to work and DH took her. Turns out she has eczema down there. But every question I had, he had the answer for. Bonus, he had her weighted and she is finally gaining weight. 2lbs in a month, operation gain weight worked!
