I love to dress Charlie like a little man and don't really buy "cute" clothes for him. But I like putting Olive in babyish clothes. Maybe it's a double standard -- I think Charlie looks cute in child-size version of adult clothes because he's a boy, but I don't want Olive to dress like a mini adult because she's a girl. I want to put bows and pigtails and cute girly things on her.
How do you like to dress your LO if they are a boy or girl?

I like dressing Lo like a cute little girl. I get lots of compliments on the dresses and outfits I put her in.
Ps. My favorite Charlie outfit is the one you put him in when you went to that flapper event (?) his little hat and overalls were too cute!

I have two girls. I would lean towards dressing them like adults in that they don't wear outfits with big sparkly butterflies or licensed characters, but the are so cute in smock tops and bubble dresses and other silhouettes that adults look silly in. I also won't dress the baby in jeans, or other stiff clothes that seem uncomfortable and movement hampering.

A lot of the clothes I have bought look like little version of older girl clothes, however I still plan on doing her hair in pig tails and waht not to make it more girlie! I just get drawn to those kinds of clothes!

Mixture of both? LO wears a lot of "adult clothes" like little dresses, blazers, hoodies, jeans. I have a no licensed character rule as well.
She does wear cute girly, baby stuff like bows and ruffles, etc... but so do I. lol

DD (2yo) has started picking out her own outfits recently; she does a mix of girly and adult like but overall tends to look girly regardless because she insists on her hair be up in pigtails.

i agree...I like mini man clothes for boys, but babyish clothes for girls (ruffles, bows, etc). It's totally a double standard, but maybe it's also because I find older girl clothes more inappropriate than mini man clothes...I'm not planning on putting my baby daughter in a mini skirt or tube top or gladiator sandals or anything like that.

i think babies should dress as babies. I'm not a fan of little girl outfits that look very adult.

I like dressing up babies like babies but once they become toddlers (walking) I like dressing them up like little adults.
