I was shocked with my SIL said that she doesn't see the appeal of eating raw cookie dough! I love it - I like it so much that I've made eggless cookie dough so I could eat some while pregnant.

Cookie dough is the most delicious thing EVER. EVERRRRRRRRRR. Now I want some!!!!!!!!!!!! I accidentally ate it a few times while pregnant because I just totally forgot and didn't realize I was even DOING it!!!!!!!!!

It's one of the best parts of making cookies...when I was pregnant one of the things I missed most was eating dough.

Totally prefer cookie dough to cookies (with the exception of straight out of the oven cookies). Mmmm I think I need to go home and make some cookies now!

@BabyBoecksMom: what about pasteurized eggs? if you use those can you eat regular raw cookie dough while pregnant? i totally would, but i'm not super cautious about some things. eggless cookie dough doesn't sound as good, i love raw cookie dough! yum!

@mrs. bird: Meh -- I'm not overly cautious and have eaten raw cookie dough while pregnant too, and eggless cookie dough doesn't sound as good either. According to the USDA you are even supposed to be careful when eating sunnyside up eggs because they aren't thoroughly cooked. I don't eat thoroughly cooked eggs or beef/lamb/duck, etc. so I'm going to also enjoy my occasional cookie dough

I love it. I used to buy those pre-made rolls of cookie dough with the intention of making cookies, but it never made it that far.

Love it! I occasionally make a batch of cookie dough and portion out the dough before I freeze it so that I can bake a few cookies at a time later and don't have a whole batch of cookies sitting around the house. I usually don't end up cooking the rest of the cookies and just eat the dough straight from the freezer.

Nope, it's too heavy for me, plus the egg thing skeeves me. I like foods with a crunch though so just leave me alone with some crispy baked cookies and watch them disappear!
