I do! We went last year, but we had to cut it short due to a freak, super-strong wind storm. Can't wait to go again!
ETA: Do you use tents, cabins or a camper? We use tents.

My family stays in cabins every year, it's relaxing but not my idea of a vacation. My family is all more outdoorsy than me, you will never get me in a tent!

hahahahahhaNO. There is nothing about camping that appeals to me. I don't even really like going to cabins that have plumbing and cable.

I love camping! We missed going the last couple of years... now that I am pregnant I have a feeling it will be a while until we go again, at least for the kind of camping we normally do!
I can't wait until LO is old enough to take with us!!
ETA: We usually go portaging because you get to be in a much more remote spot that way. We sleep in a tent and set up the whole camp ourselves. Definitely no bathrooms or running water.

Yes. So long as it includes comfortable accomodations, decent facilities (bathroom/shower) in close walking distance, pleasant weather, lots of s'mores and doesn't last more than a couple nights, I'm game. I've been told that's not really camping, though.

We camp every decent weekend from March - October normally. We have a camper with air/heat/water/satellite and friends who all have slips near us. We love it

I have never been "real" camping as in cook by bonfire and pitch a tent. But I really want to soon!
@jetsa: LOL that's not camping! That's more like RV-ing!

I've gone camping (tents and cabins) a few times but it's not really my thing. I like the outdoors during the day, but not so much at night.

@locavore_mama: haha true. I can't imagine pitching a tent every weekend!

@jetsa: haha I was going to say...that's pretty hardcore.

I love camping! But don't love all the gear that it requires!

@snowjewelz: yes! I love camping but we haven't gone since having LO. I couldn't imagine packing her in the car with all our stuff...and having her ruining around while we tried to set everything up would be a nightmare.

@BakerBee: what exactly is "glamping?" I'm thinking that's more along the type of camping I prefer...

yes! tent camping, i don't think of staying in a cabin or RV as camping (nothing wrong with either, both are fun, i just don't think of them when i think of camping). i was so disappointed the big camping trip we were planning with friends fell through last year, i had bought a bunch of new gear i wanted to try out. i had a smaller tent from pre-mr. bird, but when we would sleep in it, his head & feet would touch
so rather than buying a size up, we decided to but a family size tent so we could use it for years to come. i also bought a big new dutch oven that i can't wait to use! i might just break it out and try it in the oven just 'cause i'm excited about it

Yes, I love it. We have a camper now, but we used to tent it. I don't care either way. It seems like the same amount of work to get all settled in when we get there/pack up to leave anyways lol I guess it is nice to cook inside - not having to worry about wind and bugs.

@sandy: It's actually not that hard to get everything set up with a toddler. Last time we went, she was only about 14 months, but she did SO GOOD.

Yes, but it has to be at the lake and I have to have an air mattress.

No! Two friends have even gotten me items with, "I love not camping," printed on them. I don't camp. Ever.

Love it! We tent camped every other weekend for years before kids. It's such a great cheap way to vacation and see the sights. We kept it pretty basic, cooked over the fire and played card games, hiked, etc.
We've been taking our kids camping since they were 10 months. We invested in a small 'tin can' trailer that gives us a fridge, stove, sink, toilet, and a bed. It makes it so much easier with two LOs, and we were able to get out 6 times last summer! Even though it's work, we decided it was important to us to expose our kids to something we love so much, and they have a blast.

I've been tent camping twice. And honestly? I don't feel the need to ever go again.
I'm sure we will just to expose our kids to camping and to make memories with them, but I'm more of a resort vacationer.

I love tent camping! There's something so lovely about being in nature, sitting by a fire, and just... being. We're always so plugged-in, at home, and camping is a nice respite from technology.
Haven't done it with the LO in tow yet, though... I'm a little nervous about that.
