The only way I can eat them is in the chicken lettuce wraps at PF Changs. Otherwise, I can't stand the texture!

My mom makes chicken pillows with them in it. That is the only time I've had them but I like them!

Bleh! I always avoid them on my plate whenever I eat stirfries! But, if I'm really hungry, I'll eat them up so I don't absolutely hate them.

Not at all. I usually ask for my food without water chestnuts, if I remember.

I can NOT stand them, they can literally make me not order a dish. Like @highwire I will order dishes w/o them when I remember or if I don't will make my husband trade plates with me.

I like them. I think they add great texture in stir fry and dips. And they pick up the flavors of whatever they're mixed with well, IMO.

I don't love them but I do like them in stir fry for the added texture.
