I live right by Lake Michigan, it's not an ocean but still huge!
What about you?

We live on a peninsula of a lake. So there is water in all directions (except one)

Lake Michigan is about 4 hours north of me, and the Ohio river is about 2 hours south.

About a 6 minute drive to the Atlantic ocean. I could never live far from the coast

I can see Lake Ontario from the top of my street? It would be about 20 minutes to drive to.
DH grew up with the Atlantic Ocean in his backyard pretty much, such a cool concept to live so close to the ocean!

The Detroit River is minutes from our house, then there is all the Great Lakes surrounding our general area.

We live close to the Susquehanna River. When I was younger we lived about a block from Lake Pontchartrain in Louisiana (and a little bit later a few blocks from the Mississippi River).

We're surrounded by water. We live on a peninsula and the Chesapeake Bay is right down the street from my house. The Atlantic Ocean is also very close by. No matter what state I lived in we always seemed to be close to water...the Mississippi, a lake, etc. Would be weird not to have water close by. I change my tune during hurricane season, however. Heh

Almost exactly halfway between the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico. Smack dab in the middle of Florida.

Glad to see some other Puget Sound responses, @Rainbow Sprinkles: @HLK208: ! Although, I'm more like 15 miles away.

As far as England goes I live in an area pretty much the furthest from the coast. However, this is only about an hour and a half drive away!

Just a few kilometers from the Pacific Ocean - the western edge of the Pacific though! Correction, it's technically the Coral Sea just off the coast here.
We're moving halfway across the country next month and will be living on the Timor Sea (separating Australia from Indonesia) - our new place is literally on the beach!

Do lakes count? If not, we live about 8+hours from the Gulf of Mexico.

I'm in RI, so I'd say I live pretty close to some water

We can get to a lake withint 45mins. Atlantic Ocean is about 4 hours away, Gulf is about 6 (and totally worth the extra drive)

Nope not at all. A couple smaller lakes that aren't really that impressive are about 20 minutes away.
