I saw the "where were you born" thread and it got me thinking... Do you live in the same city or state where you were born? Have you moved cross country?
I'm halfway cross country! Went from the Midwest to New England to NYC-area now. DH is from the Midwest originally too.

I voted "far away state" even though it's not cross-country... just not adjacent or in the same region (about a 9.5 hour drive on the east coast... although that might be in-state in the midwest or west coast!) ETA: I grew up in the mid-Atlantic region and now live in New England (to be less vague about it.. ha ha)

Same city - in fact I live even closer to the hospital I was born in than my parents did - which is the same hospital DH was born in and is also where my LO will be born. Tragic, huh?!

I'm about 4-5 hours away-- still East coast, which I think is a pretty big thing, but went from the NYC suburbs to New England.
DH has lived across the country-- midwest to northwest to New England.

Ummm, not even close. I'ved lived in central, then west, and now east.
ETA: but I never did live where I was born. Edmonton was where my biological mom was from as well as the nearest big city (3 hours east from where I lived).

I'm currently living in the same city and state I was born in but grew up overseas so I don't have any real memories of this place or ties to it from when I was young.

@Alivoo01: We're currently in Brisbane but are moving to Darwin next month. I've also lived in Melbourne, Cairns, and central Queensland whilst here, and London before that!

Born in Missouri, grew up mostly in Texas (but lived different cities in Texas), and now live outside NYC.
My lovely DH was born in Sri Lanka, had to evacuate his home because of a civil war and move to the capital city. Went to Melbourne for Uni for a year, then immigrated to Oklahoma, US. Then he moved to Dallas, where we met. And now he's here with me!

No, and I kind of wish I did... DH and I are both from Northern VA. We currently live in the NYC area and I'm kind of over it. Tired of all the crowds, sick of the subway, want a car again and more space.... I also miss living near my family. I could see us moving back down there within the next few years, it would mostly be a matter of me finding a job I like. I'm a TV journalist and there are probably more jobs in this area than anywhere else, and jobs are scarce overall
