@prettylizy: mine is opposite. DD is 13 months and in 2T and outgrowing some of the shorter shirts.
coconut / 8483 posts
He's 12 months and wears 12-18 mostly but bigger sizes I've put him in seem to fit ok. He's wearing a 24 month sleeper to bed tonight and it was just a bit big!
eggplant / 11824 posts
Nope - shes almost 3 and just now transitioning from 18-24m to 2T. She's only 6% for weight though, so yeah. Little.

At first Blake was tiny. He wore NB for several months. He finally made it onto the growth charts around 4 months. Then he really hit his stride around 7-8 months and started getting huge really fast. He's 10.5 months and fitting well into 12 month stuff now. So I would say he's finally fitting true to size.
Alice was 1 lb bigger when they were born and stayed bigger until they were about 6 months. She's always been just a little smaller in size than age. At 10.5 months I'm starting to put her into 12 month clothes, but they still have a lot of room in them. She mostly wears 6 month or 9 month pants.

....sort of? She tall and lanky for her age. She needs the bigger sizes for length but if she was in disposable diapers they would fall off her waist. But we cloth diaper her which makes her waist/butt bigger (not for this reason, just worked out this way) and that makes her actually fit into the appropriate size. So... yes she fits into size appropriate clothing but I'm not sure what we'd do if she wasn't in cloth because everything would either be too wide or too short lol.

She was mostly true to size from birth to 24 months. Then when she was about 2.5 she moved up to 3T and shortly after her 3rd birthday she moved up to 4T
grapefruit / 4988 posts
She's been following the sizes pretty much since birth but at almost 18 months now, I don't think she's ready to move up to the 18-24 month size yet. So she seems to have slowed down since she turned one.

They're both a size ahead of their ages.
DD1 is 26 months wearing 3T.
DD2 is 11 weeks wearing six months.
coconut / 8079 posts
No. He's 10.5 months and has been in 12 and even a few 12-18 months clothes since 7 months and will definitely be in 18 month for summer clothes. He's 99th percentile for length.
pomegranate / 3565 posts
No. DS2 is 10 months old and in 18-24 months mostly. DS1 is 2.5 and in 3T for bottoms and 3T/4T for tops.
hostess / cantaloupe / 6486 posts
At 18 months she can still fit in 9 month onesies but for the first time her life she is actually wearing a size up! She could wear half her 3 month Outfits up until like 12 months!
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
Now she is. She was smaller her first year. Just turned 2 and is starting to wear all 2T. Some dresses I think 3 T would be better
pomegranate / 3779 posts
She was usually about 1.5 months ahead on sizing, but now at 16 months she is wearing a mix of 18 months and 24 months.
pomegranate / 3706 posts
No, they're always in larger stuff. DD1 will be 3 next month and is in size 5, DD2 is 13 months and in 24mos/ 2T.
pear / 1739 posts
DD is 2 and a half. Wears between 2T and 3T
DS is 1 (14 mos) and wears between 12-18 mos
bananas / 9973 posts
Always pretty TTS for height/length. Always small for width/weight. She's 80-something percentile for height now (usually average) and 10th percentile for weight though (consistently).
pineapple / 12234 posts
DS was in smaller clothing sizes than his age (newborn size when he was 3 months, 2T at 3/4, 3T at 4) but now he's finally catching up. Still a little behind, size 5, and XS at nearly 6 years old.
DD has been totally opposite. She was in 2T from 18-24 months, 3T from 2-2.5 and 4T from 2.5-3. She's much taller than DS was.
DD2 is kind of in between her siblings sizing. She's 8 months and still wearing 6 month clothes but she's the skinniest out of the 3. Everything that fits her in length doesn't fit in the waist.
eggplant / 11287 posts
Yeah.....ish. My DD1 is in a 3T and is almost 3. She's very narrow and petite but is a bit taller than average for height.
My dd2 is 16 months and wears 24 months/2t. She's super tall!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
Xander does, or maybe a little smaller. He's 2 years and 24m and 2T fit him, though in shirts, he can wear 18m as well.
Logan's only 3 months, but he's wearing 6m clothes at the moment.
pomegranate / 3601 posts
My son is a starting to outgrow some 3T cloths at 23months old! So he's definitely ahead in size. My daughter has just started wearing some of her 6 month cloths at 9 weeks.
honeydew / 7303 posts
My lo was in 2t at 18 months and 3t at 2 years old!
She's still pretty solidly in 3t at 2.5 but can wear some 4t stuff. She's so tall!
bananas / 9227 posts
DD is almost 3 and wears 4/4T in girls and 3T shirts from the boys department. She has long arms, but she isn't very tall. Although she's been in 4T leggings for the last few months now. I'm thinking about buying her size 5 leggings.
Eu sizing, she's small/average: she wears 98 (2-3yrs) and I'm now buying size 104 (3-4yrs). I'm guessing she'll be in this next size for a while.
pomegranate / 3729 posts
hahahaha...no. She will be 3 in May and has been wearing 5T for a while. She was wearing 18-24m at 10 months old.
persimmon / 1436 posts
No, she is very tall. 2.5 and wearing 4T shirts and pants. She can still fit in 3T but there is a bare belly because her torso is so long. The 4T pants are a bit long still.
pear / 1849 posts
No, he's 2.5 and wearing 3T pants and starting to need 4T shirts. He has always been ahead.
pear / 1657 posts
Not really, DS is 9.5 months and just outgrowing 6-12 month clothes, however 12-18 month stuff is pretty huge on him.
GOLD / wonderful apricot / 22646 posts
I just stopped by Carter's and BabyGap for summer clothes yesterday. DS is 28 months and will be in 3T over the summer I think! :O
