Not really. I would do the same thing in our early weaned days, see what she would do. She was so funny, she'd sort of look at it, grin, and fake out a latch then giggle like mad!

I did get nostalgic the other day at the MW clinic when a new mommy was nursin a brand new baby right across from me. I forgot the little sounds they made as NBs when nursing.

i was getting misty-eyed about it before we weaned and right after we mostly weaned (we are still nursing for an $*#&% 5am early wakeup that LO is holding onto for dear life), but otherwise i am okay. but i was kinda sad and hormonal.

I don't. I never really enjoyed nursing that much and don't like sitting still so that's probably part of it. I BF for 11 months, but the later months, I really pumped 80% of the time just because of schedule. I am due with LO2 in 6 weeks and am really dreading the BF'ing part!

We weaned at 13 months, part of me wishes I had gone for longer but I'm happy with how long we lasted. Looking forward to breastfeeding number 2 when we have one.

Sometimes, it was the one quiet moment of our day - and I liked that. I liked that for J is was a "magic trick" to soothe him and calm him down if he was upset. But I also like the freedom to eat/drink what I want without worry about it affecting him. We ended on a good note and a good time so I'm fine with it.

I have moments where I miss it. For us, it was our quiet time, just us. LO was also more mommy oriented back then. It gave us lots of snuggle time together. I didn't like pumping, the exhaustion from that, and the crazy food intake. Sometimes, it feels totally foreign to me when I see mothers do it now since it's been almost a year since we weaned.
