We got an invitation to a child in my daughter's daycare class yesterday. I looked at the invite and thought, "who is this kid!?!" My initial thought was to toss the invite but then I wondered, should I RSVP no?
What do you do? Do you RSVP either way, even if you don't know the parent or the child because it's polite?

I would RSVP no. I know that when I was wedding planning, I appreciated every single no that came in because then I could count on that person not being there instead of having this iffy number who might show up.

I would RSVP. As the host it's important for me to know people received the invite (vs lost in the mail) and get a head count (kiddie parties usually include adults).

@locavore_mama: we're going to be away that weekend and she won't be in this daycare next year so....there's that.
