I use reusable bags so I don't have many plastic bags. When I have them I use them for bathroom trash.

I have the reusable bags, so I don't get a lot of plastic/paper bags, but when I do, I use the plastic bags for trash bags in the bathrooms as well as wrapping up bones so they don't smell. Paper bags we don't have a lot of use for, but they are recyclable, so I don't feel as bad getting those.

I try to use reusable, but tend to forget so we have plastic bags. I use them in bathroom trash cans, to take out dirty diapers, for DH's lunch, ect.

I try to stick to reusable grocery bags, but there are times when I forget. DH especially forgets and we've had so many that I just recycled them at Trader Joe's. We do keep a few around, and it's mostly for the bathroom trashcan.

I use the plastic bags on a daily basis...as garbage liners for our bathroom bins, to pack things up quickly, I throw some in our luggage/gym bags for wet & stinky things..

We use mostly reusable bags, but when we don't, we use the plastic bags as trash can liners/bags and the paper ones to hold our paper recycling to put out every week. We actually intentionally left home our resuables yesterday because we needed more paper bags to hold the recycling!

Mostly for dog poop, but we also use them for bathroom and bedroom trash can liners, and sometimes to carry lunches and stuff like that. I have a whole bunch of reusable ones, but I forget them a lot-- I go to the store on my way home from work, on public transportation, so I can't just leave them in the car like a lot of people do.

ETA: Paper grocery bags are our recycling bins. We just leave them out and collect the recycling in them, then toss the whole thing into the recycling can outside.

@mrbee: Portland banned plastic bags last year, but we love using paper bags for the litter box & storing our recycling until we need to take it downstairs. We use reusable bags 80% of the time, then get paper once or twice a month so we have our little stash.

When I get plastic bags, we re-use them for like everyone else, bathroom and bedroom trash cans. I've also accumulated so many I will bring them to Target and put them in the recycling bin and/or sometimes friend's kids need them for school recycling collections. Even though I try to reuse and bring my own bags, we always end up with too many plastic bags.

We use our Whole Foods paper bags for recycling glass, plastic and, of course, paper.

Anything, really. Mostly for garbage though. I dont even buy actual garbage bags.

We also use reusable bags but sometimes forget. The ones we do have we use for bathroom trash, doggie bags and bring to recycling at the stores.

DH uses them to take his lunch to work, we line our small bathroom and ds's room garbage cans with them, use them for cat litter, and ds uses them to bring clothes when he spends the night at gramma's house.

We often get piled up with way more than we need, though, so I take back a lot to recycle in those bins in front of the grocery store.

I save them and take them to daycare. They use them for soiled clothes and extra poopy cloth diapers.
