I do not, but I really want to! I'm just not sure if I could afford it. Do you scrapbook? Is it expensive?

hehe. If you saw my scrapbook making collection you would definitely think so. I have spent a bunch of money on things to scrapbook but have absolutely nothing to show for it. OOPS.

I used to! I actually stopped because it was so expensive. Now I make yearly picture books with MyPublisher, and I don't feel guilty for falling behind or not being able to find the perfect background or embellishments

I do. It's pretty expensive but if you are careful and only buy what you really need, it isn't too bad. I have a lot of basics already (stamps, stamp pads, markers, pens, tools) so the majority of my money has been spent. Now I just spend money on paper, glue and albums. Sometimes I'll buy embellishments but, not too often. I can use my Cricut to make them.

I love to scrapbook! To get started is a little expensive since you have to buy the actual album, stickers, paper, etc. Over the years I've built up a 'stash' and it's not so bad. I usually just have to go out and get stickers related to what I'm scrapbooking and I'm set. Stickers can get really expensive! I love the nice 3D looking ones and I really have to control myself when I go shopping, lol. I usually wait until there's a sale!
Edit: And it depends on how elaborate you want to get too. I just do pretty paper and stickers, basically. I keep it relatively simple, but the sky is the limit when it comes to scrapbooking!

@Bao: haha I think I'd say more "broke" lol. I got it all at michaels. Never on sale either, just with great idea's in mind. Honestly, I ended up giving it all to my MIL because she is a great scrap booker. I did make her keep it separate from her stash in case one day I actually decide to make something.

@mediagirl: I was wondering about those Cricuts. So you think it is worth the money to get one of those?
@.twist.: That was nice of you to give her your stuff!

I'd love to be more passionate about it, and made one for the hubby for our 1st-2 dating anniversaries, then it fell to the way side. I'm not creative so I get frustrated after awhile because all the pages have the same "design".

No... but I'd like to sometime! I am a graphic designer, so mostly my version of "scrapbooking" has been designing little photo books and getting them printed at Picaboo and such.
My SIL does scrap booking and it looks like a lot of work and quite expensive...

@.twist.: That's where I am right now!
I used to scrapbook as my craftiness outlet. Now I do a whole range of things (thanks to Pinterest) so I haven't touched my scrapbooking stuff in over a YEAR!
I really need to get all the ball with making P's 1 year scrapbook and another one for G.
As for expense: I have the bare minimum (no circuit or anything like that) so it hasn't been too pricey. I buy paper when it's on sale or I use my 40% off coupon.

I really only scrap book our trips, since i usually have little mementos that i collect while on vacation and then i tend to just buy whats appropriate for that subject.

@Bao: I love mine. I can see using it for school projects for M someday, too! Yes, they are worth it IF you are going to use it.

I love scrapbooking. It is expensive to start, but I share a lot of materials with my MIL and SIL. We get together often to scrapbook and go on weekend getaways to scrapbooking resorts. It's one of my favourite things to do.

Crafts stress me out. Like, give me hives just thinking about it stress. I wish I was crafty like you gals! Alas, don't think it'll ever happen.

I am scrapbooking obsessed. It doesn't have to be expensive - there are ways to do it thriftily if you shop start and don't splurge on the crazy stickers and such. I'm scrapbooking LO's baby book and plan to post on the blog about it.

@Bao: A great way to start is to try it out with someone else's supplies to see if you would really like it - ask people you know and see if anyone has a secret hobby going that you didn't know about

@Mrs. Confetti: oh I'd love to see your baby book! I'm so happy you're going to blog about it. I love seeing what other people do. Since I'm so scattered these days, I think I'm going to cheat and do project life for M's baby scrapbook. At least year one.
