we had secured a bookcase in the living room but had to move the bookcase. LO isn't moving yet and my nephew is never here, but as soon as we buy a house we're securing everything we can! too many horror stories

This may seem silly...but how do you secure it to the wall? Are there kits?

We haven't since no LO yet. When we move we will I guess. I've read enough horror stories too.

@Bao: Most big pieces of furniture come with the wall attachment pieces, otherwise you can buy kits at ardware stores.

@Bao: Yes, most of our bookshelves are from IKEA and they came with a little kit!

I want to. Most of our furniture is really small and we don't have much for furniture. But they sell the tethers for pretty cheap on amazon and I want to get it for all our furniture

We have a super tall bookshelf I really need to secure to the wall. It scares me sometimes thinking about that falling on her.

@autumnlove: I love that they came with the mount too! We orders a small cabinet from target and it came with a wall tether too

We tethered our two large bookshelves to the wall, and anything in the nursery that could fall will be tethered as well. When I was two, I pulled a playpen (and my sister!) down on myself, damaging both of our teeth, and I don't want that to happen to my little one.
