I don't..... I think its been since October! haha
They are nice and soft now! But seriously, its winter so NO ONE sees them but me.
Do you shave your legs in the winter?

not as often! i did last night because it was DHs work christmas party and I had to wear pantyhose! I didn't want little hairs poking out!! haha
coconut / 8475 posts
Aye you married?
Yeah, I shave them regardless. I feel better when I'm smooth and my husband would def say something after awhile if I didn't!

Only when I'm feeling fancy! lol!! Poor DH. I went to a spa a few weeks ago for a weekend away with my BFF and I shaved so that I wans't a total disaster in the pool/hot tub.
I find shaving in the winter just makes my skin even more dry.

Yes. Same as summer--every other day or so (I have blonde leg hair). I wear tights a lot and just can't stand the feeling of prickles when wearing tights. Also, I am a freak who wears skirts and dresses 95% of the time (like today!)

@TurtleDoves: yep married. Seriously though they are smooth! The hairs are that long - DH has no clue!

I have an electric shaver that I use when I'm in a hurry or in between longer shave intervals, but yeah I do still shave. I just do it less frequently because when it gets cold I feel like shaving dries my skin out like crazy. DH likes me clean cut, too, so ya gotta do what ya gotta do! Plus I don't want to feel like a cricket when I happen to rub my legs together.

I forget. And then I end up at a place like the dermatologist for my annual exam and I look at my legs and go....oh shit....
nectarine / 2878 posts
Yes, I still shave...maybe not as often but especially if I know DH and I are going to have playtime, lol.
pomegranate / 3863 posts
Yeah, not every day but at least once a week. I have little to no hair on my thighs so I only have to shave to the knee!
papaya / 10343 posts
I rarely shave above the knee regardless bc I don't have a ton of hair on my upper leg and it is fine and blonde so it is barely noticeable. Below the knee I still do but not as much as during the summer when I'm wearing skirts and capris and whatnot all the time.

prior to laser hair removal, I'd only shave when it got long, I was wearing a dress, or I knew there would be sexy time that night. haha!
cantaloupe / 6086 posts
about once a week in the winter, or if they're going to be seen by anyone. I just try to keep it somewhat in check, I mostly wear pants or tights where you can get away with it.

OMG I have to shave my legs!!! I never skip more than one day. I have dark hair thus dark stumbly leg hair, gross. I shave them for me though cause I don't like the way it feels not too.
pomegranate / 3895 posts
Yep, a couple times a week. Otherwise it would be.......a bad situation (fair skin, dark hair), and I need to look presentable when I wear cropped pants at the gym!

i think the last time i shaved my legs was for my wedding, which was 3.5 years ago. my leg hair is pretty fine and not that noticeable (haha or at least i *think* so), and i'm lazy.
coconut / 8475 posts
@Mamaof2: dang girl! I couldn't fool DH. Mine would be like prickly cactuses;)
pomelo / 5326 posts
I do but not very often, I find it dries out my skin. So maybe every couple weeks or if I have a doc appointment or if I'm going to put the moves on DH.
GOLD / wonderful pomegranate / 28905 posts
Nope, unless it's a special occasion. but I have very little leg hair.
bananas / 9357 posts
lol I'm super lazy about shaving my legs, so it rarely happens in the winter.
@mediagirl: I had my annual with my gyno yesterday. Super embarrassed when I saw my legs when I got undressed. I only hope he didn't notice my furry legs. At least the hair is blonde.
cantaloupe / 6059 posts
Only about once a week or if I have to wear a skirt/dress. This is one of the only things I really love about winter -- I get a break from shaving them every day.

About once a week or more if I know I'm going to be in a situation with my pants off. Lol.
watermelon / 14206 posts
Not very often...and being pregnant in winter makes that event happen even less!
pomelo / 5509 posts
I hate shaving and barely even maintain it in the warm months so...yeah, I shave maybe once every 2 weeks in the winter. DH does not seem to mind, so whatever!
honeydew / 7091 posts
Maybe every other week? As far as I can tell, DH doesn't care, and I hardly have time to shower, let alone shave
bananas / 9229 posts
Yes but not as often. Usually every other day. Especially on days that I work out.
pomegranate / 3729 posts
very rarely. And DH hates it and bitches the whole time but I don't care. Sometimes I will get the urge to, but it's usually just to ensure that I get a longer shower. Maybe tonight!
GOLD / wonderful pea / 17697 posts
At least every other day, regardless of season. I can't stand the stubble, and mine grows in dark, so it's noticeable. But I wear jeans pretty much year round so it's mostly for my own (and D's) benefit. I just love the feel of freshly shaved legs rubbing together when I'm in bed.
eggplant / 11716 posts
@Dandelion: oh, your response reminds me of something embarassing.
I shaved while I was in labor at home and in the shower (figured it would be my last time for a few days cause I knew I wouldn't in the hospital), but I was in such a hurry I cut myself on my upper thigh. I haven't cut myself shaving in YEARS. I slapped a bandaid on it because it was bleeding.
3 days later when I was still in the hospital after having LO, a nurse finally asked what the bandaid was for. I was like. OMG! I cut myself shaving three days before and didn't even realize it was still there!
So all throughout my labor and delivery and post partum period, I had this bandaid on my thigh. Heh.
It's probably safer not to shave.
pomegranate / 3003 posts
I do, but not as often as I shave in the spring or summer. I just don't feel as clean if I have mad stubble on my legs or under arms.
eggplant / 11408 posts
When they get itchy! But I shave my pits more often, though-I can't stand underarm hair
