Well yes and no for me. I fall asleep sooo much faster with DH there. But I think I sleep better during the night when I have the whole bed

I do. Whenever he's home late I can't sleep. I'm always worried about burglars getting in or monsters or Chucky. Even with his horrible snoring I sleep better. Even if he's not in the bed with me, but sleeping on the couch, I still feel safer and sleep better because I know he's there.
(He stays up late grading papers and falls asleep on the couch or the living room floor often).

I sleep way better and more peacefully when sleeping with DH. I fall asleep pretty fast too

Haha, I'm going to be the odd one out and say no. But in my defense it's because he snores when he's really tired so it takes me forever to fall asleep when he's home. When he's on a flight, it's like a little slice of heaven with the big, silent bed all to myself
ETA: I do need to have the alarm on when he's away though, I freak out about intruders.
ETA: And his darn alarm goes off so early! Geesh I'm reading this and wondering if maybe we need separate bedrooms. Haha

Yes & no. I feel more secure with him there & I fall asleep easier but it's hard to sttn because he is such a restless sleeper. I slept on the couch a few nights ago and it was some of the best sleep I've had in a long time!

Yes & no! I have a very hard time falling asleep with him there because he snores like the dickens, but without him there, I can't stay asleep!

@Mrs. Stroller: You're not alone! I sleep better without DH because I love to take up the whole bed and I switch positions a zillion times before I can fall asleep. DH is also a chronic blanket-stealer, so there's that too.
But in the end, waking up next to him makes all of that worth it.

@Mrs. Stroller: LOL @ seperate bedrooms!
I love when he's gone for the night. I get the whole bed to myself.

I sleep better when he's there because my mind is at peace and I'm not worrying about his well-being. Plus, the hubby is like a big ole heater, and I'm generally cold natured so it's nice and toasty in the evenings. haha!

I have such a hard time falling asleep when DH is gone. Once I finally fall asleep, I tend to sleep harder.

Just like some others have mentioned, I have a harder time making myself go to bed and also falling asleep when DH isn't there, but I sleep much more soundly when I have the bed to myself.

I feel like a weirdo because I prefer to sleep alone (but don't). I like to spread out and take up all of the bed! Is it bad to secretly enjoy having the bed to myself when DH is away on business trips?

Yes. I can't sleep alone in our house. I'm too terrified of intruders. To be fair I had an experience with an intruder in my parents home so I have reason to be nervous.

I actually sleep better without him.
We don't cuddle, so it's not like I don't enjoy that.. it's just that I toss and turn for hours to fall asleep, and if I am alone I don't worry about it but when he is in bed I try and not flip so much which makes me miserable.
Our mattress sucks, so DH has been ending up on the couch for about half the night and I get my best sleep when he's gone. I spread out, toss and turn all I want..ahhhh

I sleep wayyyy better with DH than I do alone. Now if DH works late I lay daown with our LO

Yes I sleep way better with DH. If he isn't in bed or home then I wake up every hour and have a hard time getting back to sleep.

I sleep better alone. In our old house, which was bigger, we had separate bedrooms and whenever I was going through stressful times at work and had to get proper sleep, I would sleep in my own room! Now our spare bedroom is more of an attic replacement as we don't have one, so we sleep together all the time. It's not too bad, though he still wakes me up as I get too hot next to him, or he's restless, but I am waking up at least once a night to pee now anyway, so I guess it evens out!

I sleep the same either way! As long as I'm tired, I sleep great. But he was deployed for a long time in our relationship, so I'm quite used to having a solo bed filled with kitties. He's the same way--he sleeps fine if I'm not there.

Yes, I don't sleep well when he's not there. He's going to MN for a leadership training summit for work in about a month and I'm dreading sleeping alone for a week. I'm hoping our cats will keep me company.

Yes. When he works nights I toss and turn and wake up thinking he's home often!
When he's home at night I fall asleep so fast and usually sleep through the night (if I don't it's because of me, not because of something he does).

Yes I get jumpy when he isn't here. Plus the dog gets on the bed and makes it too hot.
