I used to read them all the time. Also used to be pretty okay about keeping my own updated regularly (for my own personal record). But, alas, I can't keep up these days! I miss old bloggers and blogger friends!

I miss them too since Google Reader was shut down. I never found an alternative that I liked.

@T.H.O.U.: did you try Feedly?
I do, every day! Seems like a lot of my favorite bloggers slowed down which makes it easier to keep up
I use Feedly and like it pretty well.
wonderful olive / 19353 posts
Yup! It's part of my lunch routine. I eat my lunch at my desk while following up on blogs.
I used to blog on Blogger, but haven't since getting married, but I use their reader as a central repository for compiling all the blogs I follow. Love it!!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
I use Feedly too and love it! I do still follow a couple blogs.
hostess / wonderful watermelon / 39513 posts
No, I think blogs are dated but then I also hate vlogs.
blogger / wonderful cherry / 21628 posts
I mostly skim blog posts. A lot of the blogs I used to love have stopped posting or cut way back. I don't think blogging is as big as it used to be.
nectarine / 2152 posts
Google Reader shut down when my twins were 5 weeks old and I didn't have the time, mental energy, etc to switch over so I lost my list of blogs that I used to read! I have Feedly and have some blogs on there but I'm missing a bunch and the ones I do have on there, half never get updated. I miss reading blogs!
pomegranate / 3580 posts
I do, but when I switched to Feedly I cut waaaay back. Like @Leialou: I was skimming so many of them and they were all starting to become so similar. I still read about 30 in my feed, but I'm very picky about what I add now.
nectarine / 2079 posts
Yup, I check Feedly every day. I do tend to just look at pictures more than actually read blogs, though.
blogger / clementine / 750 posts
yes and no. I go through stages where I read them every day and keep caught up. And then there are weeks (like last week) where I can't be bothered to read any. (I miss reading yours, btw, @mrsjyw:)
Oh, and I also love feedly...best alternative to GR that I found.
apricot / 453 posts
Not as often as I used to. There are hardly any blogs that interest me anymore.
honeydew / 7444 posts
@night cheese: I find i have the same problem too. I used to read all of these blogs that had great written content, and now it's just about photos, rstyle, and sponsored posts.
I miss the days where people felt writing anonymously was enough.
I mainly read some of the HB blog posts, and a handful of home design bloggers now.
apricot / 453 posts
@Freckles: Exactly. I used to read a lot of fashion and lifestyle blogs but they all became so boring.
I deleted maybe 90% of the blogs in my Feedly. The ones I still read are Dlisted, Tom and Lorenzo, Feministing, Bitches Gotta Eat, and a couple of home decor and recipe blogs.
grapefruit / 4817 posts
No. I still have a Feedly account, but I've become pretty meh about most of the blogs I followed in the past. They all just seem to be about making money now and living fake lives to keep sponsors happy. It's weird. I do love Dlisted, though.
bananas / 9357 posts
No, not really. There are a few I check on now and again, but definitely not reading them everyday like I used to.
pomelo / 5628 posts
I check daily, but I don't read very many posts. I probably write once every two weeks these days..
blogger / eggplant / 11551 posts
Yep, I still check my Feedly regularly, and try to maintain my personal blog as much as I can because I want the kids to be able to read all our fun family adventures, look back on how much I love(d) them, and get to know who I am as I currently am through my blog.
coconut / 8430 posts
I still read a few financial ones regularly. I stopped with most personal ones though.
hostess / wonderful apple seed / 16729 posts
I use Feedly app, too. I was never a big into reading blogs, only a select few. The ones on my Feedly app are YHL and What Kate wears and a few others.
papaya / 10473 posts
I stopped reading after the demise of google reader, but I have seen a few blogs lately that I'm going to add to a new blogroll.
pomegranate / 3577 posts
@night cheese: love TLo
I only read 4 or 5, but I only check them every couple of weeks. Probably the only 2 I check on most regularly are TLo and Smitten Kitchen. I was really late to the YHL thing, so I still enjoy that one from time to time.
persimmon / 1313 posts
Yes, and I use Feedly. It's not as often as I used to because nobody is blogging as much that I'm interested in but I try to read them 1-2x a week.
papaya / 10473 posts
@loveisstrange: YHL drives me nuts these days! It just reeks of try-hard or something, with all the Sher-dawg business and weird, contrived writing style.
pineapple / 12566 posts
I used to all the time but I don't so much anymore. There are a few that I check on a few times a week to see if there are updates, but my interest is waning.
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@grizz: @loveisstrange: with y'all, they are getting old. I wonder how long before one of them gets a regular job.
I read some still, but not many.
nectarine / 2220 posts
I still read blogs fairly often in feedly, but find myself skimming more often.
pineapple / 12526 posts
@grizz: @Smurfette: I think they seem like really nice, genuine people... but I think maybe the blog got too big for them and the pressure is too much. Smurfette, they did make a post before the new baby was born about how they were going to step away from the blog and if one of them went back to working, they were okay with that. I give it until after the new book comes out and the publicity tour is over.
honeydew / 7622 posts
I only read Making it Lovely and my best friends personal blog. I usually read articles I find on Pinterest now.
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@loveisstrange: They did have one about cutting back. I wonder if they were losing readership so they are prepping for something. I do agree once the book comes out and publicity is over I would bet John goes back to work. They still have a ton to do that their house, but all big stuff, so unless they keep moving, they are going to have to come up with something else.
blogger / wonderful cherry / 21628 posts
@grizz: @loveisstrange: @Smurfette: I'm with y'all on YHL. It used to be my favorite blog. I haven't been inspired by them in so long.
