I had a bottle left and I'm nursing, so I'm still taking them...

I'm 11 months postpartum and am nursing, so I'm still taking them. I'll take them until I'm done nursing.

uggggh I should be since I'm still nursing but I stopped at some point and fell out of the habit...I really should be getting back into it anyway since we're also going to be ttc sometime soonish!

@nana87: Yea I never kept up while nursing ds1. I really didn't even know you should until HB!

@mrsjyw: my ob told me to still take them while nursing so I have no excuse! I just hate taking them! I'm terrible at remembering and the dha supplement leaves a terrible aftertaste even though I'm swallowing it.

Oops I stopped taking them! Why are they important to take while nursing?

@NovBaby1112: I think the baby gets the nutrients through our milk. DS1 is a 99%+ though so I'm not all momguilt about not taking them while nursing him though!

@NovBaby1112: my doc said just to take any vitamin while nursing. Not necessarily prenatal vitamins.

I didn't stop till I quit nursing, per my OB's recommendation.

I couldn't even take them while pregnant but actually I'm doing better now so maybe I should try. I'm only pumping a very little bit and planning to 100% ff soon though. But I remember they made my nails really strong my first pregnancy!
@NovBaby1112: what @mrsjyw: said but my OB has always said baby will take what he needs, the vitamins are more for mom to stay healthy.

I took them religiously for as long as I was nursing (till 9 mo). I still take them randomly since I have this one bottle..

I continue to take them while nursing LO#2. I did the same for for LO#1. It also helped when I started losing my hair pp.

My OB suggested as long as I was nursing...my family Dr said there is basically no harm in prenatals so he recommends all his patients take prenatals until they decide they are done having children...so I have taken mine since 10/2012 through now...(currently pregnant)

I completely forgot to take them once DS was born and I nursed for a year. Woooops. Taking them again now while pregnant.

It's part of my nightly routine! I got into the habit of taking them before bed since they used to upset my stomach if I took it any other time when I was first pregnant with DS1. Now I just keep them on my nightstand along with my water bottle and it's one of the last things I do. I plan on taking prenatals until I'm done nursing and then will continue the habit with another multi vitamin.

I took them until I stopped nursing and started up again since it flu season and I had them (and not a general multi-vitamin).

Yep, I'm still nursing, so I take them. I want to get pregnant soon, so I don't think I'll stop taking them.
