DD is 8 months old and I use it for naps and each night for her on the waves setting. Do you still use it? If not when did you stop?

Yes, but our main white noise machine is this Munchkin one: http://www.amazon.com/Munchkin-Nursery-Projector-Sound-System/dp/B006SFUEF2. We liked the sleep sheep, and also used the wave setting, but LO would always wake up once it turned off at the 44 minute mark. The Munchkin noise machine stays on all night so it works better for us, although I like the sleep sheep sound better. We took the sound part out of the sheep and use it when we travel since it's so compact.

Yes, we still use it at 9 months for naps and going to bed. I don't think she actually *needs* the sleep sheep, but I like that she has some kind of sleep association.

We never used it as a sleep aid but it is hanging off her crib!

We have the Gentle Giraffe. We used it until DS was 8 months old. I hated that it cut off after 45 minutes. We bought a Marpac sound machine and have been using it ever since. It's one of our "must-have" items.

We still use ours at 22 months and don't see stopping any time soon.

we use the gentle giraffe! LO doesn't budge when it turns off, so I don't mind. we used the waterfall one, now she prefers the chirping/water sounds one.

@MungBean: just used my BRU rewards to get that noise machine. I didn't know which one to get, but thought the projector was neat so went for it - so glad you like it!

@Running Elley: I hate the whale sound! The few times I pushed it by accident, it totally creeped me out.
@photojane: yes, it's a good one! I bought it because it was cheap, and it's working very well for us. The projector part is pretty neat but I find that the colors aren't very vibrant. There's a nightlight on it that really helps when you're stumbling around in the dark
