Are there things you like to stock up on during Black Friday? Is there anything else you're looking for this season?

I got a set of Pyrex storage containers last year and want another set this year. I also try to stock up on pretty ribbon for Christmas, other holiday decorations and containers for gifting baked goods. I also try to get a few clothing items each year depending on what's on sale and where I go.

My husband and I are both really guilty of getting caught up in the hype of Black Friday/Cyber Monday. We do a lot of Christmas shopping and usually end up buying stuff for ourselves too from our favorite retailers. Especially him. He really loves this store called Billy Reid and they always have great Black Friday deals and he goes all shopaholic nuts on Black Friday:)

We don't buy into the bf hype. Don't think most deals are all that amazing. That being said we will be scoping out a few things this year like sd cards and toys for ds

@Cole: yes!! Glass storage from kohls! We got a good deal and want another set.
@mrsjyw: I agree, most stores only have a few deals.

I don't usually do Black Friday. I can't deal with the crowds and I don't think the online deals are all that great. I always shop on Small Business Saturday though!

@PrincessBaby: billy Reid is DH's favorite too! Good to know
We don't do Black Friday or cyber Monday. Can't handle the stress lol

I dont really do Black Friday. Most stuff is on similar or better deals in Mid-December anyway.

I do a lot of my Christmas shopping on Black Friday.
I have started my list of what to look for. I go to the outlet mall.

I've always worked during black friday so never really get to any stores but I am curious to see if I can get a deal on a baby crib I have been looking at this black friday.

I usually go out later in the morning (like 8am) and buy myself clothes this year I'm going to try to get a pre-lit christmas tree.

I'm on bedrest so I won't be going out in the crowds. I'll be online looking for cloth diapers, maternity clothes, and a few Xmas gifts.

I've been doing Black Friday for like 15 years but the quality of deals has really gone downhill the past few years. I don't even think I'll bother going out this year.

Nope! This year, we'll be putting up our Christmas trees. I shop almost exclusively online anyway.

Nope. I actually have to have about half of my christmas shopping done before Thanksgiving since my mom insists on doing Christmas then. it's stressing me out.

I plan on getting some cloth diapers (online) this year, but not much else. We don't really need anything and are "trying" to scale back Christmas this year.

i probably could score some great deals, but i'm lazy and am wary of the "hurry up and buy" atmosphere because it would probably lead me to bad decisions.

Last year Babies R us had buy one, get one free on Earth's best variety packs of baby food. If they have that this year, I will be going there but that's about it.

Umm... I think I do more shopping for myself on Black Friday to stock up on deals, than for gifts. We tend to get major appliances and electronics on Black Friday/Cyber Monday. And pajamas for everyone. This year I might stalk a few sites for a Clek Foonf.

Maybe it's just me.. but the bf deals aren't that great anymore? I think there were some awesome deals like 5-10 years ago but last few years have been meh. It could be that I have had LO since then and don't spend/have the time looking for the best deals?

The deals have really gone down hill lately but DH and I will probably check the ads and see if anything is worth it.
@dc yoga bee: cottonbabies.com runs a good Black Friday sale!

Last year, I skipped the mall and the other big stores and shopped online. I think I went to Costco and Target later in the afternoon to check things out. Crowds and parking wasn't bad when I went. I'll probably do the same this year.
@dc yoga bee: I stocked up last year. This site compiles all the CD sales. http://dirtydiaperlaundry.com
