If so, which brand?
I've had a dull headache all day. Just popped some Tylenol!

No for headaches, yes for migraines (Excedrin Migraine). Advil and Tylenol don't have much of an effect on me, unless I take a few too many. My doctor told me that I shouldn't bother.

Yeah I get cranky if I have a headache, I take Tylenol or the off brand equivalent.

The only thing that helps me is aleve (naproxen) or muscle relaxers (prescription). I get rotten tension headaches.

Excedrin Migraine, and at the first sign of a headache. Migraines start out the same as regular headaches for me, and if I don't catch it right away it's a bad scene. I'm sure I over-medicate for normal headaches, but it's not worth the risk of guessing wrong, especially if I'm at work and can't lie in a dark cold room nursing a migraine.
The only time I don't take Excedrin is when I can tell it'll be a sinus headache, and then I take either Claritin or Allegra. Sinus headaches can be just as debilitating as migraines for me, and if untreated tend to blow into sinus migraines, which is the worst of both worlds

I used to pop Motrin for headaches regularly or sometimes Excedrin for a migraine, but I felt like I was taking too much too often. Now I try to do it sparingly, like only if it's a headache where I can't function. Fortunately cutting out gluten solved my migraine problem (not my primary intent but a welcome benefit!)

Tylenol doesn't work for me. I usually take Aleve or Excedrin. I only take drugs for headaches if it really becomes unbearable.

I only ever take tylenol or the generic version of it. Advil does nothing and stronger stuff like excedrin makes me sick.

Usually Advil or Excedrin. FWIW, Excedrin Extra Strength (which is what I take) and Excedrin Migraine are the exact formulation, just labeled differently. I found that out the hard way when the Migraine one didn't work for my actual migraine.

Advil liquigels, took some today! From time to time I get a dull annoying headache that just won't go away, but as soon as the Advil kicks in it's gone for good.

I do because I rarely get headaches and Tylenol usually relieves it right away so why not? Otherwise, I try not to take meds when I am sick.

Excedrin for me...that magical cocktail always does the trick for me. I don't suffer.

@lovehoneybee: Everything you said!!
I don't mess around - I immediately take Excedrin Migraine. I get migraines about once a month so I try to nip any pain in the bud before it turns into a full-blown migraine!

Excedrin Migraine at the first sign of a headache, cuz, like @lovehoneybee, if I don't stop it in its tracks, then I'm sitting with the lights out, praying that my head would just go ahead and crack in half already. I'm sure I do over-medicate, but it's worth it to me. Full-blown migraines are a bitch. And once I get one, it starts a cycle where I have one for days.

If it's not going away or getting any better after about 20 minutes I will take something. It's usually Motrin.
