I do think about this for big ticket items like cars...I only buy silver, black or white because I read somewhere that those colors have the highest resale value.
I usually don't think about resale value for other stuff!

I don't, because I feel like even with the intention of reselling, it may not happen. With our house, I did, but that's about it!

Definitely! I think about it with cars and when we buy a house I will surely give it a lot of thought. Everything else, that we wouldn't intend to re-sell, no.

The only time I really thought about it was for our house. Hell, everything I do to this house I consider the resale value of what I am doing. I don't plan on moving anytime soon even. We just bought the place less than a year ago but I am very conscious that everything I do to change the house effects the resale value in some way in the future. We have already greatly improved the resale value by twice what we purchased it for. We will see what it is worth when we go to sell it in 10 years though. lol

For random stuff, never. For expensive baby gear, I do, but only to make me feel better buying it because I'm usually too lazy to resell anything anyway. For our house, I thought about it even though it's supposed to be our forever home.

I did for our house. I am really tempted to do a huge kitchen remodel, but I know that what is in there is serviceable and honestly, I prefer my cash in the bank, not in kitchen cabinets. I also know a fancy redo won't get me my money back when/if we sell the house.

DH does for our house. Whenever he makes a big purchase for the house, he tells me how much it will increase the value of our house.

Just for our house and now for things that increase our property value, like fixing up the lawn. For cars, we don't. Usually we have the intention of driving it until it's dead (so we only have one and hopefully someday no car payments).

Yes, we're thinking about this now as we're getting ready to put our co-op on the market and buy a house. I just hope we don't have to take too much of a loss but I think prices are slightly lower than when we bought.

I thought about it when I bought my house, but not really. LOL! I don't plan to ever sell it, but when I do stuff, I try to make sure it's not too crazy. Still working up the nerve to do these cabinets!lol!

Only with real estate!! Otherwise, I pick what I would enjoy most! I'm so picky. Haha.

For house things - definitely.
DH wouldn't let me get a red car because he said it's harder to resell, so I guess he does about cars.
A random thing I thought about resale for was cloth diapers. I was torn between Bum Genius and homemade ones from a WAHM in the area. One big pro for BG was that they'd be easier to resell should I need to/want to. (In the end I went with the WAHM mom ones - I didn't want an easy out if I felt overwhelmed by the diapers)

No...we will with our house. We buy cars used and drive them and maintain them until they are beyond help. (My Volvo is getting to this point!)

For buying a house, yes (not that we've bought-- we decided to rent). And for furniture for this apartment we did think about it-- since we are in an apartment, there is a chance the furniture we bought for it won't work in our new place, so we figured if we can get half the price back on Craigslist, we would be golden.
Otherwise not really. DH will only buy used cars anyway since he thinks it makes more sense (and I don't care or know anything about car buying) so we plan to pretty much drive them into the ground before buying a new one anyway. Baby gear, I've gotten so much handed down to me that I'd rather just pass that good karma on than resell (and I have two little sisters who don't have kids yet).
