I have a Masters, I would be pleased if my son got one too, but in a field that he cared about. I got my MS while I was working, my employer paid for the majority of it.

I have a bachelor's and a post-grad diploma, and am not really using either of them. If LO doesn't 'match' that, I'm fine with it. However, its important to me that she goes to either college or university.

I have a MA (in...MUSEUM STUDIES!!!), and my hubs only has a bachelor's. His is definitely worth much more in terms of career value and potential earnings. I think that I would want my kids to decide to get some kind of further education, but I would be supportive of any kind, and would not force them into university of their interests lie in a different area!

I have a masters in social work, which is basically a requirement for the work that I do (therapist). My husband is an MD.
I worry a little about our kid feeling pressured to pursue med school because my husband's family has a weird thing with it. His mom pushed all of her kids in a way that makes me uncomfortable.

I'd like for my kids to at least go to college. I think the experience can bean important one, even if you end up doing something unrelated to your studies later on.

We both have our bachelor's and I'm working on my Masters. My company is paying for my master's so it's not bad.

I hope that our future LO will go to college and get the a BS. Although, I see from my sister and brother that you don't need a BS to be successful.

Yes - we expect LO to get her BA at a minimum (just like our parents' unspoken expectation was for both of us); my husband has his PhD so we dont expect her to match that, but would be extremely happy if she did!! Honestly, I really hope she gets more than just her BA.

DH only has his hs diploma, and I'm working on my Master's... I'd prefer for LO to at least get her Bachelor's, but I don't expect her to go to grad school

I have a master's degree, which is needed to be a physician assistant. Not sure if my son will match me, but I would like him to at least obtain a bachelor's degree.

We each have a BA. I also have my CPA license. I hope LO at least earns a BA in a field he can support himself (i.e. not General Studies, but Accounting, Engineering, etc.)

I hope so! I only have one degree (BA) so far, and it's pretty useless, but my MA (in progress) will be the one to launch a career. I hope my daughter either has a more useful bachelors (and/) or a masters, or even further! Whatever will bring her the career she wants. Then again, if she decides to do something else (start her own business, join the military) that would be ok too, although I would hope she'd eventually get a degree to open more doors for herself, even if she starts a career before getting a degree.

Oh and I also have a useful certificate.
