I try to tip especially since LO makes such a mess.
We had lunch at Souplantation (Sweet Tomatoes) today and I felt so bad walking out with leaving a few bucks on the table. (I didn't have any cash!)

Def! That's how the staff makes most of their money! We went to a amazing jap buffet in Toronto and our tip was more than the GST!

@chopsuey119: I'm sure other people have not left a tip before, don't feel too bad:) once my salon had changed their policy & wouldn't put tip on my card, I had no cash on me and they were closing, so luckily my stylist is a friend & I just gave him a huge tip the following week, but I was super embarrassed! It happens:)

Yup!I feel like buffet waiters/waitresses actually do MORE service than non-buffet waiters/waitresses. They're constantly picking up you plates (like many many times!) and refilling drinks.

Always... though I'm not tipping the driver the next time the Mediterranean place delivers, since last time all I had was a twenty! (On an order for 6 people, though, and the next one will probably be just as crazy.)

yes, but not as much as the usual 15-20%. maybe 10%.

I probably tip 10%. I don't eat multiple plates and I think regular waiters have far more interaction and provide more "service".

We tip a few dollars at buffets...I always get nervous about whether or not I'm supposed to tip when I pick food up...I tip the Italian place around the corner when I pick up a pizza, but only bc we order from there every couple of weeks and I feel obligated since they "know" us...But everywhere else I get all weirded out about what the expectation is...

Yeah, we usually just give a few dollars for refilling our drinks and taking dirty dishes away.
