Do you keep greeting cards that you receive? Birthday, anniversary, etc? I have a stack that is just growing and growing!!!

I used to keep all of them, but recently went through a large stack and tossed the ones that didn't have any sort of meaningful personal message written. Although the number of greeting cards I actually receive these days is very slim...

i used to keep all of them but now i throw all of them away as soon as i get them, except maybe from immediate family.

I'm such a pack rat. We just moved, and I finally forced myself to throw out birthday cards for 10 years ago. I'm keeping our wedding cards, though

I read them and toss them. The only ones I keep are from my husband.

@Leialou: I have a special box just for things from my husband...but it's rare he gives me cards, so the box is nearly empty

i read them, toss them unless 1. they're from my husband (he always writes stuff that makes me cry) and 2. they are personalized (like have a picture of the person, family, etc.) - those i put on the fridge.

I keep them for a little while and toss them eventually. I'm just naturally a pack rat.

I keep them for a few days past whatever occasion the cards are for and then I throw them out.

Depends on the occasion and who it's from. . I saved all of Lo's 1st bday cards.
I'll save cards my Immediatw family sends me.. I also saved some wedding cards.

It depends on the card and who it's from. For the ones that are generic and are just signed "to" and "from", those generally get thrown out. But the ones with extra messages written by the giver are usually kept.
I pretty much keep all the ones from DH. For the girls, I'm keeping them too (for them to read when they get older).

I keep them on the fridge for a bit and then they get rotated out (and into the recycling). Ugly cards get rotated out faster! I love stationary, so I appreciate beautifully designed cards.

I save them all in files. I can't help it... I'm so sentimental... so rest assured, if you've sent me something, I still have it filed away for posterity! When I die and people clean out my stuff, they are going to hate me!

@Mrs. Jacks: So sweet! What is the oldest card you have in your collection?

I usually cut them up to use to make a new card. I save lo's for her though.

@autumnlove: I have a series of correspondence from my high school roommate from the summer of our freshman year (1984). It was the first time I was old enough to really save stuff on my own and the little letters and cards are so precious. I still go through them now and again!

I keep them out fora little while past the event then they get recycled.
