We have one, but I'm afraid of explosions. DH uses it though. He makes things that normally take a long time to cook, like tougher cuts of meat. I think it once used it for brown rice since he forgot to start it earlier.

I haven't, but I know some people use it for canning things also.

I use it for roasts that I forgot to start in the morning in a crock pot. I've made beef and pork roasts in them...really cuts the time down quite a bit and you still get a really tender roast.

I got gifted one for our wedding and just started using it. You can make the BEST chicken stock in less than an hour. It's so much better than the ones you get simmering on the stove or in the crockpot. I've also found that it makes really good risotto. I recommend getting the America's Test Kitchen pressure cooker cookbook. I made probably the best pot roast I have ever had using their recipe.
