LO is 10 weeks old, and has been sleeping in her crib since week 2. We only have an audio monitor for now, which has worked fine, but we're thinking about buying a video monitor. Her room is on the other end of the house from ours, so it'd be nice to be able to see her when I get that feeling of needing to check on her rather than having to get up and go into her room. Do you have one and is it worth it?

Yup we have a foscam and looove it. So worth it. We got it after he was born because I felt the need for one. I am glad we got it. Oh and we only paid $80 for it!

@jennylynn: they are!! this one isn't a baby monitor, it's actually a surveillance camera. You hook it up to your modem and can view it on it's own private IP address (that way there is no way of you accidentally viewing your neighbors baby!) with password/un. But we use it as a baby monitor and I think it's better than an actual monitor.
I can view it on my computer, TV through my wii or iPod. -

Yes! We have one. I don't think it's absolutely necessary in our relatively small condo, but I'm a totally paranoid mama, so I like being able to always see what my baby is up to at all times.

Love my foscam. Definitely affordable and great,.... It helps me get a better handle on how he's sleeping and napping, too, because sometimes he'll roll around for 20 minutes before getting to sleep... On the rare occasion he gets his leg stuck in the slats and needs rescuing, it's nice to be able to see that in a single glance.
