i have an apron. technically, it's my husband's, but i'm sure he wouldn't mind sharing. anyway, so we have an apron available in the house, but i never use it. i guess i'm just not in the habit. i probably should start using it though, because the front of my shirt almost always gets soaked when i'm doing the dishes. and it'd be more convenient to wipe my hands on the apron while cooking, rather than walking over to the hanging towel.
do you wear an apron for cooking and/or cleaning?

I do if I'm planning on cooking a big fancy meal, or 'freezer' cooking which is when I make tons of one or two things to freeze for later like cabbage rolls or meat pies.

I wear one when I'm working with something messy or if I know I'm going to be cooking for a long time (Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner).

I have the cutest apron! I rarely wear it. It does get busted out if I have guests or am baking allllll day long around the holidays

We have 2 aprons and we use them every single time we cook! that's usually about 4 - 5x a week. I usually make a mess, so I like to keep my clothes clean. And I get water all down my front when doing the dishes so it's a must for me.

I'm an apron-hoarder for sure! I think I have like 8-9 aprons, mostly from Anthropologie because they are so hard to resist! (Don't even get me started on their tea/dish towels!) I always wear pretty ones when prepping for a dinner or cocktail party.

Yes when baking, not often when cooking... not sure why. There's potential for mess with both, but baking seems to inspire more apron-wearing vibes in me.

I wear one almost every time I cook -- neatness is in the kitchen is not a particular virtue of mine. I'm especially good about putting one on if I start dinner while I'm still wearing my work clothes. At 9 months pregnant, me in an apron is a pretty comical sight.

I never did, but like some other people mentioned, I was always getting stuff on my clothes. I started hinting to DH that I wanted a cute apron and he ordered me this for our second anniversary "cotton" gift. It is so adorable and even came with cute cleaning gloves!

I wear one more now because my belly often gets water splashed on it when I'm at the sink. I also wear one if I'm working over the stove for a long time, in case I get splattered.

If I am dressed for a fancy dinner party or something and I have to make something last minute ass guests are there and I m already dressed...then ill grab my apron first. It's not even in my kitchen because I use it so rarely....it hangs out in the linen closet.

It's green tomatoes, onion, garlic, chillis, mustard seeds, salt, brown sugar and white wine vinegar. A lot of people put raisins in but I don't. That pic was before 2 hrs simmering - it looks like brown sludge now it's cooked! It needs to mellow in the airing cupboard for 3 months and then, at Christmas, we'll eat it with cheese and biscuits. It's also nice in sandwiches. Mmm!

I have the cutest apron from Urban Outfitters that I got as a gift at my bachelorette party. It's ruffly and the pocket is embroidered with "Mrs. Mylastname." I wear it cause it's cute, not to protect my clothes!

Nope, but I probably really should. I get food splatters while cooking, and my shirt always, always, always gets wet while doing the dishes.
