I do...all the time! I call a tissue, Kleenex and cotton swabs Q-tips, even if that isn't the actual brand I am using. As well as pretty much all these things on this list:

Yep to pretty much all of those, although I do sometimes ask DH to hand me a tissue, but half the time ask for a Kleenex.

Yes, for almost everything! I think it's because my mom always bought generic when we were growing up, and I somehow felt deprived.
