DD1 is sick and DH has been spraying the house like crazy with Lysol because he doesn't want DD2 to get sick too. I read somewhere that inhaling too much Lysol is bad for you? Do you use Lysol regularly? If not, what alternatives are there to kill germs when you have a kid that's sick and coughing all over the place?

We use Lysol / Clorox wipes. I only use Clorox bleach spray in the bathrooms and never around the kids. Pretty much vinegar + water for everything else.

Yes but not regularly. Mostly in washrooms. I use a green/natural spray for areas that LO is in contact with.

Rarely. I use water and vinegar every day for disinfecting.

I don't think it is good for you. We use vinegar in a spray bottle and go wild with it!

We use wipes when needed.

I use to spray everything with lysol and then wipe it down with clorox wipes. My hands would suffer from Eczema flare ups from touching them. I started using Norwex cloths instead, I do still bleach my sinks and toilets though.

We pretty much only use vinegar+water and method products.

I use green works spray, and other natural cleaning products. My skin doesn't react well to Lysol, so I figure it can't be good for little ones.

We use Clorox or Lysol wipes when we want a little extra and always in the bathroom. Daily we use Method or Seventh Generation in the kitchen. I want to switch to water + vinegar there though.

I only spray lysol on light switches/door knobs/toilets once a week.

Yeah, a few times a month but vinegar for everyday stuff.

I only use it when there's a stomach bug in the house because those are SO contagious. I use the wipes to clean off everything else (drawer/door handles, light switches and remotes) when there's colds going through the house.

I pretty much only use it when DS poops in the tub. I spray with bathroom cleaner and rinse, and I'll spray with lysol too just to make sure.
