We have some cheap plastic place mats from Ikea. We also have some fabric mats that I don't like as much.

Yep we have bamboo ones, cloth ones, etc. I swap it out every season? Maybe?

Yep, fabric ones. We also use fabric tablecloths. Our table is from the 80's and it is solid wood so we want to keep it nice.

Nope but I'm in the market now that we just bought a dining table.

Haha I used to but they were more decorative than anything else. I would actually remove them when dinner was on the table so that they wouldn't get dirty.

we do but we don't use them very often. I usually have a tablecloth on our table to protect it and it seems redundant to have both

I read this thread title to say, "Do you use placentas." I was so curious what I was going to see in here! Oops...must be Friday afternoon.

We use fabric placemats from Target. We used to use hard placemats but felt they were scratching the marble surface. Obviously there isn't a kid eating at the table yet!

Occasionally. I have a gazillion placemats. I do use shelf liner for J though, keeps her plate and cup in place and easier to clean up.

We did but LO has decided they are great for sliding around the table & helping aid in food flinging & they get dirty quickly so I took them off

We got some nice cork placemats for our wedding off the registry. Finally opened them up this summer and love using them versus table cloths.

everyday ones from ikea and some decorative ones that get used infrequently

Yep - our table was expensive so I don't want anybody's water glass ruining it!!! We just use fabric ones, so easy to wash and care for.
