I don't use it very much, because it's just me most of the time (husband is a firefighter). We only have to take out our garbage for collection once every 1-2 months haha we just don't have much garbage.

Growing up we never used ours. Got married and my husband used it all the time so I started doing it too. I used it all the time when cleaning out the fridge and getting rid of leftovers.

Then, we moved to our new house and we don't currently have a dishwasher. It's a pain to make sure the strainer thing is in so nothing goes down the drain. And we have to take the trash out a lot more.

We use ours all the time. It's definitely something I look for in a home.

Yup! You could use drano to help push that gunk down or if it's really bad, have the hubby snake it. It's easy.

I don't know what I would do without our disposal. Stick my hands down in there and grab all the gunk and throw it in the trash? No thanks.

BTW I am pretty sure you're not supposed to use Drano in them....

I do all the time, DH refuses to use it!

We used them when we lived in rental apartments. We redid our kitchen a few months ago and decided to take it out. We put in some really good strainer baskets, and I really don't miss it. FWIW, my mom never uses hers. I learned from her.
