Or do you just let the kids play with toys and mingle with each other?
There will probably be 10-12 kids at LO's party and they are all under 4.

At E's party we didn't have actual "games" but if he was older we would have. We had a blanket out with toys for E and the other little ones and the older cousins (not many of them) played kickball while the adults (most of the guests) ate and mingled.

Well so far we've only had 1 party and her 'friends' were all under 3 so we didn't have games or activities. I'm sure that will change as she gets older though.

We usually have some kinda of activity, the only party we really didn't was G's Starwars party bc playing with pool noodle light sabers was more than enough. Lol At P's first bday there was cookie decorating & for her second I'm considering a "puddle making" station using a wash tub & maybe planting something that the kids can take home. At G's party we did a scavenger hunt that I think could easily be adjusted for a younger age group.
My biggest party fear is having bored kids.... That's dangerous! Lol

I set up games and our little activity center (slide/ect.) up front so the kids could play, but it wasn't a "set" part of the party. I just let them play so parents could mingle and talk!

For my daughter's second birthday last month, we set up several fun things - in our living room I put away all the toys with small pieces and brought out the funnest 5 or so. In her room I set up her dress up clothing and trains in her circus tent. The real party was outside, and we had bubbles, chalk, several scooters. A teacher friend brought some big foam blocks, a toy bowling kit, and a big parachute. Also balloons. Mostly just a bunch of interesting, fun stuff. We had a blast.

We're having DS' at our clubroom. No planned activities. We plan on having a Disney movie playing in the theater though so kids can go in there and watch if they want.
In the future I might hire a face painter, magician and/or balloon artist for home parties

I don't do planned games, but there is always a major activity (bounce house) or at a location where there is already something for them to do (bowling alley, carnival games/rides, etc.).

No planned activities for the kids since the kids are limited to LO's two nieces. The kids just play with each other (or usually apart).
