I usually don't, but I really need to start wearing them! Hands are so dry!

No. But I don't wash many dishes. I rinse them and put them in the dishwasher.

I don't. Is it a Korean thing? My mom never did...So I don't. I should, though.

@Rubies: My mom wears gloves. I'm gonna pick some up tomorrow. Along with those drain blocker mesh things for the kitchen sink!

I'm like Artbee and mostly just rinse to put in dishwasher, so no gloves. However, I do have super dry hands this time of year anyway!

@artbee: @twodoghouse: @ecogirl: what kind of dishwasher do you have? i don't trust my dishwasher to do a good job.. it has failed me one too many times.

If I'm doing a lot, like after having people over for dinner, I will. Otherwise I'm just throwing them in the dishwasher the majority of time.

I don't use gloves. I put lotion on my hands each evening so they don't dry out. That's mostly for eczema, though I'm sure it helps since I don't wear gloves. Also, the sound of gloves on China is like nails on a chalkboard to me!

@chopsuey119: Um, I'm not entirely certain. It's a Maytag and it came with our house when we bought it a few years ago. It's old but works really well.

I never used to but i found these awesome long rubber glives that I use when I will be washing a goid amount of dishes because my hands get super dry plus the gloves make it so I can use super hot water and not care
pear / 1639 posts
Nope. I don't use gloves for any cleaning. My neighbor has a set of gloves for everything she cleans.

I should because my hands are so dry, but I don't because I feel like they get in the way. I don't wear gloves when do any other house cleaning either, e.g. cleaning the toilets.

I unfortunately don't have a dishwasher so I do a ton of dishes..I don't wear gloves though. I like to feel that the dishes are clean..weird? Lol.

I'm so glad my mom passed down her dishwashing gloves habit to me. I prefer to handwash and with super hot water, so I need to so I don't get "old lady hands" too quick! I use these:

I don't. I've never really thought about it. I guess it is good that I don't have to hand wash many dishes.
hostess / wonderful watermelon / 39513 posts
I don't hand wash that often but I don't wear gloves when I do.

I don't wear gloves (and don't do many dishes thanks to dishwasher), but I also keep a "cook's lotion" right by the sink, which is a super rich lotion. I wash my hands a lot while I cook, so its a lifesaver.
GOLD / wonderful grape / 20289 posts
@chopsuey119: I have a fridgidaire. We do a really good rinse before we stick the dishes in.
honeydew / 7968 posts
yeah, my mom yells at me for not using gloves. i like to feel the dishes to make sure the soap is gone! can't really do that with the gloves!
cherry / 172 posts
I do. My FH buys me them to match my aprons. I love them because I can use super hot water and not have to worry about scalding my hands.

Hellz yes I do! I do dishes everyday and find my nails are prone to breakage if I don't. I wear rubber gloves so much we stock up at Costco
honeydew / 7968 posts
@keiki_mama: maybe that's why my nails are always chipping. very annoying.
pomegranate / 3329 posts
Yes, I have eczema on my hands, it started after my son was born.. I use a latex free glove every time, if I don't my hands break out. I wash then run in the dishwasher.
hostess / wonderful apple seed / 16729 posts
No, I don't usually. If it's really greasy or yucky, I'll put gloves on.
pear / 1787 posts
Yes! My husband bought me adorable gloves. I hand-wash pots and pans and the hot water burns my hands otherwise.

No, I have gloves, but don't use them, I hate taking them off, and would rather slather on cream.
