@autumnlove: oh hell no. My mom gave me Asian spanx underwear PP and I wore it to a wedding. Most Uncomfortable thing EVER. I don't care enough to suffer through that!

Yes, I do. I pretty much always have it on under a skirt or dress, especially if I am not wearing tights.

I wear a high cut seamless shapewear brief to work if i'm wearing anything form fitted or a dress. I bought them a size up so they aren't hot or super tight. I wear them pretty often.
I have this flap (?) of loose skin that sort of hangs separately from the rest of my stomach so this makes me not feel self conscious about it
Longer dresses i always wear a thigh shaper. Keeps my legs from rubbing. Again, a size up!

I only wore Spanx on my wedding day. I'll admit that it made me feel super skinny.

I'm a fan of spanx under dresses for a multitude of reasons, not the least of which is no thigh rubbing (mmmm zexy! lol)
I rarely wear them under pants though.

No. But I do wear sheer nude panty hose to work because I am pale, not for any shaping.

Shapewear is my best friend. Even when I was superskinny. It allows for clean lines. I swear by it. But not spanx. Wacoal is good stuff. It breathes while holding you in and smoothing you out. Spanx too tight. I don't know how that company does so well.

@MrsMed: Spanx are so thick...I will try Wacoal next time!

I didn't even wear shapewear on my wedding day! Can't be bothered. I don't like extra layers especially when they are all tight and body huggy.

I sometimes wear shapewear under dresses for special occasions, like weddings. I'd go crazy if I wore it more often.

I wear spanx under dresses for special occasions, and I lived in shapewear my first few weeks pp to hold myself together

I did when I worked in a hospital. I wanted to avoid the jiggle in my dress pants but having that extra layer kept me warm in the freezing cold hospital.
Now that I don't have to dress up for work, the "heroic" underwear only comes out on special occasions.
